My cat is starting to accept that my newborn is not going anywhere, and has returned to the land of the living room to chill with us. He's an extremely timid gentleman so he always runs outside at the first sign of a cry, but progress is still very promising!
EDIT: 3 babies born!
We are currently waiting for one of our Guinea Pigs to give birth. To keep an eye on her even when we are away, I have set up a live stream with her on youtube!

We have moved her over to a smaller cage, along with her mother, because they usually get along really well. She (Karen) could give birth any time now but at the latest on wednesday. We expect her to give birth to 3-4 babies very soon
Karen is the golden and white piggie. The one with black colors is her mum
Looks like they're having a bit of rest time for now!
Its basically what they do all the time LOL, Karen is a bit uneasy though compared to how she usually is.
I got this moster of a beauty last week and he is getting along very nicelly! Seems to have handled the trip and change very well!
Edit: forgot to upload a picture, but thanks for the upvote to whoever gave me one even with no image!
What a little nugget! So rotund lol. Can we maybe see the tank? :)
Thanks and sure!
He and two others are in a quarantine tank right now but i am not sure if they will stay in it or move over to the larger tank. We will see. Bellow are pictures of both though!
The quarqntine tank
The big tank
Impressive !
Thanks! Its just goldfish tanks. They just need a lot of space and clean water. But they are very fun to keep!
Wow he is more than a nugget LOL that is a big boy😂
Oh yeah he is quite massive!
Elderly pug has tracheal stenosis and is horking mightily until we pin him down and get cough syrup into him, whereupon we can get a few hours of sleep. If you know of a better way to give a dog cough syrup I'm all ears. Pugs should not be bred, I adopted him from being a stray, but it has to be said they have wonderful personalities. I feel we are in the downswing of his life, but we've had ten very great years with him so at least we know we did a good job.
Other mixed breed is the delight of my heart, no health concerns at all, and delightfully funny.
Pretty good, still sassy.
Our pet hen comes inside in the evening and night. Yeah, a pet chicken in the house, I would have thought it crazy this time last year.
She's a sassy girl by default, but takes spates of being extra sassy. She's a little French girl, a marans (that's the breed), so she's just plain extra.
Anyway, last night she comes in, in rare form. Just all up in everyone's business, frisking and chattering all over the place. Just spunky.
As usual, after she makes sure everyone knows she's there, and the queen of the roost, she hops up on my leg, then over to the arm of the couch, where she'll typically stay until bedtime, bawking and clucking at the world.
But boy, that was not the case. I would move to get a sip of water out of my cup, and she'd peck at me. I'd pick her up and set her on the floor. She'd stomp around the living room a few times, scolding me for daring to befoul her perfection with my greasy ape paws. And then she'd hop back up. And then peck at me the next time I moved. Back to the floor, where she stomps around like a jilted t-rex, screaming her rage to the winds.
This repeats a few times, and I start blocking her from hopping up.
This, of course, is met with remonstrations of the highest order. BRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAK! The mighty thunder bird (that's all of six or seven pounds) was not happy.
However, I was not quailed (nor chickened out. Funny how that works, ain't it?). I refused to play.
Until she changed tactics. She practically batted her eyes at me. Which, in chicken terms is bobbing the head from side to side while preening and prancing, followed up by a sweet trill and little hops.
Of course, this melted my heart, and I risked peckage and helped her up. She then settles down next to me, with her fuzzy little butt right on my arm, and falls asleep while trilling softly. From Godzilla to sleeping beauty in a half hour
And that, folks, is why we have a chicken in the house for part of the day. Pure entertainment and a little bit of love
I love this so much. As someone who had a pet wild starling for a summer who used to sit on top of my car and bellow at us until someone came out and took him for a ride in the car, I understand this chicken.
Oh this kills me. I’m traveling and was unable to bring them with me. I miss them with all my heart.
Only since I came back from shopping today has she been more receptive to laying in my lap (apparently got into a fight with my other cat while I was out).. but she's been enjoying her little spot on top of the freezer. I'm glad she's comfortable in our new place, but I will miss the days where she'd cuddle in my lap until she fell asleep. 😿
One year anniversary of having a baseball sized tumor removed from his liver. He had been so lethargic while he was sick, but ever since he fully recovered, he's been like a puppy again. We are still lucky enough to have this dog's company.
Still trying to find a home for a stray kitten I caught a on July 3rd.
For some reason she has been hanging at my feet today. Makes for very convenient petting.
