Lawmakers made clear that Congress will continue investigating Big Oil’s price gouging and climate deception. They also vowed to advance legislation cracking down on the industry’s anti-consumer practices and ensuring a rapid transition to clean energy.

I mean, that's nice and all, but talk is cheap, and this has been a problem for a long time, it's not a recent thing. Be nice if they actually took some action, rather than just talked about it.

They can "blast" them all they want, until they start calling for lessening oil subsidies while majorly increasing investment in and incentivising deployment of renewables I'll just assume they're all full of shit

I wonder how may members of congress get kickbacks from big oil? Is there a list somewhere of that?

Wow thank you for that! Of course it's mostly republicans but it's sad to see any democrat on there getting Big Oil kickbacks
