We vibrate the receptacle violently.

[-] FoxyFerengi@lemm.ee 47 points 2 months ago

The planet pulls the receptacle down

Several beings perish each cycle from this

[-] thenextguy@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago

I will attempt to reach the sustenance through the delivery slot with my appendage.

[-] CitizenKong@lemmy.world 9 points 2 months ago

Appendage can't be retracted until sustenance is released. It is a conundrum.

[-] 5714@lemmy.dbzer0.com 28 points 2 months ago

Sustenance is back on the distribution list, beings!

[-] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago

Peacekeeping officials inquire as to our intentions.

[-] XOXOX@lemmy.world 30 points 2 months ago

The bag and the planet pull towards each other.

[-] jayandp@sh.itjust.works 18 points 2 months ago

And this is why releaser gap should by wider than sustenance is tall.

[-] OpenStars@discuss.online 12 points 2 months ago

No, it is we who have failed the planet.

[-] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

the planet is helpless against the trappings of man's machinery

Gravity~ is working~ against me~

I love these and in my head the aliens talk in a weird, almost chipmunky alien voice. The show they're releasing ruined that cause they speak like normal people

[-] originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com 5 points 2 months ago

ive seen the show, and i dont believe this comics format lends itself to video. and apparently audio.

[-] altima_neo@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 months ago

Looking at the trailer real quick, it gives off "redditor trying to hard to be cute and quirky" vibes

[-] originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com 2 points 2 months ago

that is spot on. the unique observations that work in short segments are drawn out as to no longer be unique or interesting. its kinda boring.

[-] robotistry@sciencemastodon.com 2 points 2 months ago

@originalucifer @Nuke_the_whales I liked the show as much as but in a different way than the comics. Different, but still good.

[-] Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Agreed. Much prefer it as a small 4 panel comic

[-] altima_neo@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 months ago

In my head they sound like the mooninites

[-] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

It’s weird because the voice I created in my head is almost exactly the same as the show, just more nasally.

But their behavior in the show is way different from how I picture the comic characters would behave.

[-] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Because you failed the planet.

[-] Pickle_Jr@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

It's semantics! The chicken evolved from something (I'm going to call that something "Chicken Prime"). One day a Chicken Prime laid an egg and then out came a chicken from the egg.

So would the egg that the Chicken Prime laid be considered a chicken egg? Or because the Chicken Prime was the one who laid the egg, would the egg be considered a Chicken Prime Egg?

I'll give credit to the egg layer and say it was a Chicken Prime Egg; the chicken came first!

Thank you for reading my comment.

[-] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

I think you're in the wrong thread.

[-] Pickle_Jr@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 months ago

Oh my goodness! You are right. 😐

But regardless I am still team The Chicken Came First. 😀

[-] OpenStars@discuss.online 2 points 2 months ago

The chicken, being species-fluid, wonders why everyone has to put a label onto everything:-) πŸ€”
