Raided funds meant for firefighters and paramedics to bankroll his lavish lifestyle. Fancy cars, luxury vacations, designer clothes – even his child support.
Squandered millions in public funds while essential services were left to rot.
Used public money to grease the palms of Republican politicians.
Prioritized lucrative non-emergency transfers over life-saving 911 calls. Who needs a paramedic when there's money to be made?
Deprived emergency responders of vital equipment while his own "limousines" were chauffeured around.
Stole from his own dead brother's children.

I know the magnitude isn't as wide as the others. But this just feels like the shittiest thing out of the list.

Yea that was my takeaway too. The consequences may not have been as wide spread as the others but as far as dick moves go it was kinda the worst one.

Noel was originally charged with 31 felonies for allegedly misusing money from the fire and EMS departments which he oversaw. He pleaded guilty to 27 of those in August.

Noel led Holcomb’s campaign in 2016 and was part of his transition team.

And won't see a pardon from Holcomb (per a statement). Which is great. It's nice to see something too hot to touch.

But I won't assume Holcomb is a pillar of virtue who just coincidentally happened to have a criminal running their campaign...

Hopefully a valuable lesson to any other criminal cronies out there - loyalty upward is rarely returned.

Prayers are one of the stupidest ways to try to perform contrition.

Investigators said public funds were also used to pay for college tuition and child support.

Always with the child support scams. Plus forty cars. C'mon, man. You're trying to get caught at that point.
