The article is mostly about Kari Lake being on her show, but wow.

“Kamala, she’s got citizenship issue,” Barr claimed, which is a baseless accusation, of course. “Did you see her where she tries to act like she’s human? They’re on the third clone with her. … She’s just [controlled by former President Barack] Obama, so he’s already on his third term destroying our country. And then so if he gets her in there, that’ll be his fourth term. He’s a little tyrant.”

As the conversation progressed, Lake suggested that Barr ought to run for president, which Barr asserted was unnecessary “because in 2012, I declared myself the de facto president of the American people for life.”

Roseanne is just one of many examples of awful people getting called out for being awful, and then running to the hard right, where not only is their awful behavior ignored, it's actually embraced.

Elon Musk is the gold standard of this, and of course, Donald Trump practically invented it.

Fascism is an ideology that rewards people for being the worst version of themselves.

Roseanne might have corrected course after her racist tweet had the right wing not embraced her.

This is why MAGA Republicans are a cancer. Their hatred spreads and consumes.

for those that are not aware Roseanne actually has legit medical issues with her brain I'm not sure what those issues are off the top of my head but she is on meds and whatnot I do believe.

There's a gradient. Most mental health issues allow people to retain will and discern over reality. But there are some disorders and mental issues that hamper the ability to tell reality from fantasy, some completely detach the person's perception from the real world. Hallucinations and delirium can have disease awareness or not (the person is aware they are hallucinating). When you lose that, then there's no way of telling which behavior is conscious decision and which is a reaction to delirium. There's even disordered behavior, when the brain just no longer responds to the prefrontal cortex and the person is just not there. She seems to be a tad gone if she thinks that Kamala Harris is a clone controlled by Obama. You could replace them with a goblin controlled by Satan, and it's just as irrational. Hallucinations and delirium are culturally sensitive and take form according to locally relevant symbols and themes. She is definitely no longer in touch with reality.

These things happen when you go full racist and get canceled from your own show.

You've got a certain lifestyle creep that you can't afford to live without anymore. And since no actual studios will hire you again, you do what all failed right wing comedians do, you become a talking head with your own podcast and YouTube channel. Then you start saying what the right wants to hear, and they just throw money at you because they're so desperate for someone to tell them what they want.
