Congratulations!

You're about to be thrown off your parents' healthcare and/or possibly stripped of your citizenship and deported depending on your skincolor or last name!

You won!

Many Americans are just uneducated tools and the worst thing about it is they don't even realise how dumb they are.

[-] rayyy@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

That's a feature. When the SHTF their rulers will just blame another group. It works so well.

[-] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 10 points 8 hours ago

They let him do it, too. Because he's a celebrity and all that. So much for the sisterhood.

That's their tough shit. They're the ones who are going to suffer the most from climate change and Trump's economic policies. 78% of young people who were most concerned about the economy voted for Trump? Yeah, enjoy the next 4+ years, you stupid, ignorant, idiotic fucks.

Economies and foreign policy are fragile things - I doubt the damage he does (has and will) will be undone any time soon. Both rely on trust, in one way or another, and that's far easier to torch than rebuild.

We all will suffer for it.

Hey lady who voted for Trump — better hope you don’t get an ectopic pregnancy, or have a gay or trans child.

Yes, we know things are bad, but they're worse too.

Conservatives tend to have more kids than liberals. Maybe that has something to do with it. Seems to me, people are often heavily influenced by their parents when it comes to politics.

Idiocracy is becoming more of a documentary every year.

[-] ladicius@lemmy.world 11 points 9 hours ago

Always has been.

This is what I was thinking too. Not just conservatives but the less educated, less informed which lean conservative.

It's also a vicious repeating cycle. They get elected, and they are the primary ones who gut education, and force religion into the masses as much as they can. Thereby keeping the masses dumb and creating new generations of the same.

Fuck this makes my cynical. How the hell do we even compete against this?

The archetype of "Surely they won't eat my face"...

When people spew hateful rhetoric against your kind, it's safer to assume they're serious. Even if they're not, they might inspire others who are.
