Let's not spread false hope. Comparing this event to Bush or Reagan is disingenuous.
The rule of law is over. This is the backslide into fascism. The GOP is going to have a field day overturning all of the things we take for granted, including the progress we fought hard to make in the 2000s and 1990s.
Then you revert to no hope? I’ll choose to believe we can move through things unimaginable. I have lived through days of darkness already.
There is no hope, unless Biden mans up and has all of them executed for sedition and treason.
The fascist party is poised to control every aspect of the government. The democratic process in the US only has one toe outside the grave at this point.
No amount of hopeful thinking will topple a fascist regime.
Oh sure, Germany got better after WW2 as well.
Look, we made our statement about Gaza, we paid the price, now it's Trump's America.
It's not something we can assume we'll get out of with just another election. What happens in 2028 I don't think any of us can be sure of. We only know that they won't play fair.
And in the meantime you either sit back and watch your rights disappear, or you figure out how to hold on.
It’s a noble sentiment. But at the same time, I absolutely expect Obergefell to be overturned, so perhaps this isn’t the best way to express optimism.
This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen.
Anybody who thinks this is even remotely comparable to Bush is a fucking idiot.
Policies so good that news of your victory overloads suicide hotlines and the nation's vaginas dry and shrivel.
