He was originally an X-men villain

Pretty much from the start, the Marvel Universe mixed up villains and heroes. Daredevil fought Sub-Mariner, Spider-Man had a run in with Dr. Doom, Sand Man fought the Fantastic Four. It took DC a while to catch on.

True, but, this meme aside, I’d still say that Sauron and the Savage Lands are most commonly associated with the X-men

You're absolutely right, Ka-Zar and the Savage Land are introduced in X-Men #10 and Sauron in X-Men #60. He's definitely an X-Men villain.

This is from a comic where Spider-Man teaches a class for the X-Men written by Elliot Kalen. He now is on the podcast the Flophouse, where he does movie reviews. It's pretty good.

Why don't you cure cancer while turning people into dinosaurs, you maniac?! Why would you want dinosaurs with cancer?!

Remember when that bored Batman artist created that one-time-off villain for an original story and unoriginally called it the joker?

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Oh yeah, and based his appearance on that old movie The Man Who Laughs.
