I know this is just a tongue in cheek riposte and not serious. But considering that Trump and his lackeys clearly don't give a shit about California and other solid blue states, I would definitely be willing to entertain this.

Canada is not without their problems right now. But holy shit, things are going to be crazy down here over the next n years. If right wingers can't appreciate all the money that the 5th or 6th largest economy in the world is pouring in to prop up their welfare red states, then they don't deserve us.

Trump would make it the three biggest Democratic states ('cause "real 'muricans" like those in Texas "never need no help from nobody") in an attempt to bankrupt the Canadians.

(Yeah, I know she specified the west coast, but you know he'd have to make it be his way just for spite.)

Not just that, they're the epicenters of exported "US" culture. They're the face of the country. They're what we show off to the rest of the world as American.

Remove that from "America" and much of the world has no idea what's left.
