I'm back. Spent Friday in hospital with some pretty sketch vitals but they gave me an IV and I appear to be alive again. Viral meningitis is the leading theory, we couldn't actually diagnose it and given I'm no longer looking like the reapers next target no one is all that stressed any more.

Hooray we got it. Actually had no idea I did until this morn. lol. Turns out it was a bit more south than i thought. Couldn't see it with the naked eye.
10" exposure 800iso f/1.8 so pretty faint really. I thought it was supposed to be brighter. but now we know where to look (thanks to tha little rock in the foreground thanks buddy) so will have another go tonight.

Some shitty news at work this morning. A couple of vacated senior positions will not be back filled. That's a few opportunities we won't be getting. Time to start looking elsewhere methinks.

One of the larger companies account managers needs to be away for 2 weeks.
So guess what's happening? Either me or my feckless co worker will have to do his job while he's away.
If I get given this, and no pay raise, then I'm bailing asap.

Love when someone else's leave becomes your problem. A couple years back my old boss went galivanting around Europe for 2 months and most of her work fell onto me, it was hell.
I love the word gallivanting. It's a nicer word than whoring or trollopsing.

Can’t wake my brain up today. Really wish I was out for a swim instead of at my desk.
Ugh the bedroom was so hot I didn't fall asleep until 1:30am and now I feel like warmed over crap despite feeling so upbeat last night! I ought to get those car windscreen shades for the windows already...
Same! We had the AC going till about 2:30 to keep the air moving which was nice. Woke up at 430 and it was too warm...took me too long to fall back asleep (generally do it in seconds).
Today will be a struggle.

Christ it was hot and muggy out there. Disgusting!! Felt so gross by noon. Burnt, dehydrated, fly- irritated ... The one plus point is I managed to leave early enough after hitting my quota and have embarked on dinner as I promised myself.
It's turning out a bit ambitious: teriyaki salmon, blanched amaranth with sesame and miso, quick pickled carrot and daikon (my life for a julienne-r - atrocious knife skills). Now for a quick run to the shops for short grain rice to round it out, even though the Coles ones taste like cardboard.
Cut too much daikon so that's gone into a spicy stir fry with more carrot...
Pet Peeve - someone messages you on teams with a question, you go to reply and their status is set to Busy or DND.
Check later and they're offline and out of office until next week.
Are some people really that scatterbrained?

It was still quite toasty last night, even with the air con on before bed. But I have a smart plug I run the air con off now, so I put on a timer to turn it off at 2am. Worked quite nicely! Power bill's gonna be fucked again, though. Had to run it most of the time I was home yesterday
