Guess I've been living under a rock or something because I had to look up what 1488 meant.
I still don't fully understand though... Is this something that a lot of people recognise as a nazi / white supremacist symbol, or is it more of a niche reference?
They say it to each other as a greeting, usually they just say 88. Another great one is TTMFBBTT, which means they are Aryan Brotherhood members "til the motherfucking body bag toe tag". Or they say "wood wood", which is short for either peckerwoods or feather woods, which is a male and female AB member.
The Klan say KIGY, AKIA, and KLASP.
In the US it may be more popular. I only know about 88 or 18 for HH or AH.
