Tesla is the worst stock to buy rn.

Because of its blatant ties to fascist ideals or because its price to earnings ratio is more than 100 when it should be (and I'm being really generous and saccharinely optimistic here) more like 20?

Or, realistically, 8ish.

Ignoring the moral implications, its going down really fast. Like, whenever I'm feeling down or annoyed, I just check their stock price.

I, too, find the schadenfreude delicious

I've seen some folks on Wall Street bets make bank off of puts? for Tesla.

Idk.. maybe it's puts.. I don't dabble in that stuff...

What ever it is when the stock goes down..

Puts are another way to bet against the stock without the risk of your bet ballooning beyond a 100% loss. Lots of Puts and pessimism

Oh cool

Edit I just read some stuff, how would a put negatively impact the price of stock?

Drain the swamp and put all the rancid stagnant sludge in government.

[–] CanadianCarl@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

No, swamps are vital to the environment. Landfills are not.

What's the inverse Cramer strategy say right now? We'll finally answer the question, what happens when an unimprovable slob meets an inscrutable fart.

Elon Musk is over. Done. Finished.

Nobody will listen to him in a long time.

[–] limelight79@lemm.ee 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I was hoping this guy would be different, based on his back story. But, nope, clearly he's drinking the Flavor-aid as well.

[–] maniclucky@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

His backstory involves being born rich on the backs of his family's emerald mine slaves. Why would you expect better than any other rich asshole?

[–] limelight79@lemm.ee 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well it also involves taking care of the families of his employees that were killed in the 9/11 attacks. But, yeah.

[–] maniclucky@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Note: the following vitriol is solely for Musk. I got no issue with you, just feeling spicy.

Yeah I guess you could get benefits when you were being paid to work for him and his PR team wasn't "KETAMINE!". But those people whose lives his family stole can go fuck themselves cause they don't have a PR team to make people care about them.

[–] Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee 9 points 2 days ago

There's probably enough people who don't know what a dividend is, or are willing to lose money to own the libs, that this might work.

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

So how much were you paid to lie about this?
