I would say that if anyone out of all of those involved in this weird controversy is "mentally ill," it's the otherwise uninvolved outsiders who insist on making an issue of someone else's gender identity.
I've never even understood how this is an issue in the first place. I can see how gender identity could be significant when one is evaluating a potential sexual partner, since one would likely have some preference(s), but beyond that, I've never understood why anyone even cares. What possible bearing can it really have on anything?
So as far as I'm concerned, if somebody does concern themselves with it and try to oversee it and legislate it and control it, in spite of the fact that it has no real bearing at all on their own lives, there must be something wrong with their brains.

If someone’s as triggered as transphobes and homophobes, such that they are that obsessed with the sexuality of others to the point of demanding to be able to control it… there’s an illness in their brain. One can’t be mentally healthy and be that kirked out over something they have no reason to worry about whatsoever.

I just realized that Asmongold and MoistCritical are different streamers, I thought they were one guy who had the most wildly swinging takes.
asmongold recently got into a couple dramas, because of his increasingly right wing takes on things. im not familiar with moistcritical. when you bring politics into your channel, especially right wing views, your channel will spiral downwards sooner or later.

Loud people with big audiences should be called out when they're saying dangerous things. Marginalised people didn't get rights by being quiet.

So yeah, you should care to spread the message that when someone loud is speaking misinformation, your own voice gives those who listen to him an opportunity to make a choice to lose trust in someone they were watching for their hot takes.

Agreed, I had full grown adults a decade+ ago tell me it was all a joke in our WoW guild. I say "Buddy, you can't fake it for like 12 hours a day... that's not a joke." (He was a WoW streamer)
Oh by the way, he was bad at WoW... that's the funniest part to me. He one time made his legions complain to blizzard so much that they actually changed something in PvP, and it was THE WORST season of the game. Was a while ago I can't remember the details. Dude had a tough time fighting the NPCs, who knows why they listened to the guy about PvP.
I wish I could get back into WoW just to relax and time sink but it's full of vitriol like social media is now. Abunch of disabled and SSI people that are supporters of... taking away those benefits.

Only reason I know him at all is because he took some law court videos of amber heard, and restreamed them on Facebook with his face in the corner and made 1 or 2 dumb comments (because it was obviously just attention seeking)
