Two more days before vacation. Two more days.

This is a daily post for “casual” conversation. If you want to post or talk about something non autism related this is where to do it. For example if you want to info dump about your special interest but it doesn’t fall into “autism related” then you can post it here in the comments. All other rules are still active, be respectful to each other.

every month, I need to fill the same prescriptions I've had for between 10 and 20 years.

every month, one or more persons whose job it is to get those pills into my hands without interruption, fucks it up.

as a result, the stash of critical medication which I jealously hoard as a hedge against this exact problem (as well as natural disasters, etc) grows smaller. I now have about 7 days remaining. I will rapidly become sick and then completely nonfunctional if I miss my meds for even a day.

it's now crystal clear that the American health care system is not designed to help me with this problem, and that it has no intention of ever doing so.

I just went through this with my meds because my insurance changed pharmacies. You don't choose your insurance and now you don't choose your pharmacy. Capitalism is just swell.

What kind of train toy was it, did you have the whole setup, maybe like with those wooden rails and stations?

That’s amazing, i like how there are details like room for cargo, I would’ve loved to put all sorts of little items and figures on the train cars as a kid
