Digital blackface was one of the first uses for genAI - turning white models or white voices "black" rather than hiring an actual black person

I am sensing a new standup comedy routine where a tablet pretending to be AI has a script to say some of the worse takes while claiming to be different people at different points. And the host dissects the responses with observational humor

But, they just replaced the voice part of the job? Like, track selection was likely still done by a human somehow? Not sure what this is accomplishing overall.
