That’s just such unnecessary friction. If it already works, just stop treating people like they’re guilty first, and have to be acquitted later

If a game requires that you install what basically amounts to a rootkit in order to play it, I don't think I want to play that game.

I wish people would stop calling it "anticheat" and start calling it an "unsolicited rootkit with the potential to compromise your entire computer".

I got mildly addicted to this for a few weeks on my phone, and wanted to play on a bigger screen. I have a nice gaming rig and a steam deck, but I hate windows. I could get the game to open, but it always showed me a screen with something about anticheat not working on my platform. So I tried to run it under android running on top of my main OS but it also flagged that. Shortly after that I stopped playing altogether.
