Would be cool if Nintendo just made games instead of being a patent troll that rereleases the same 10 games over and over again.

I don't see why anyone buys their shit except for nostalgia at this point.

Disney adults = Nintendo adults

How the fuck is Banjo-Kazooie not prior art?

how the fuck is "using another creature for transport" patentable? when shit like this is allowed the entire system just has to be removed

Good point, why isn’t Nintendo trying to shut down RDR2 or WoW?

I really hope that Pocketpair wins their case against Nintendo. It's pretty ridiculous that game mechanics as generic as using a creature for a glider are somehow able to be patented by Nintendo.

I don’t think it would work in a non-Japan jurisdiction. It’s stupid AF. I’m pretty sure they didn’t even file some of the patents until after Palworld released.

I think the patents were technically filed before the release, but they weren't approved until after the release.

Glad I played when it first came out. Hope Nintendo loses the lawsuit

Next Nintendo is going to patent riding horses in video games. Then sleeping to skip time. The concept of food. Light. Dark. And polygons.
