Hi everyone,
I have a standard Dell laptop running Ubuntu 22.04 that I would like to be able to be able to access (I think via IPKVM) via a web browser on my desktop also running Ubuntu 22.04. For reasons I probably won't share, as much as I'd love to use a software-based solution like a software KVM like Synergy or similar, I'm not going to be able to use it for my setup.
I'm still kind of new to KVMs especially hardware-based KVMs. Assuming I cannot install software on the laptop, and I have a desktop with a keyboard and a mouse directly attached to it that I would like to use to control both my desktop and laptop (ideally controlling the laptop via a web browser, I think that would be more seamless than a traditional KVM with physical buttons for switching), would an IPKVM (KVM over IP) device work for this? If so, does anyone have any recommendations for consume-grade IPKVMs that I could look into? Also, would my keyboard and mouse still be plugged into my desktop, or would they have to be plugged into the IPKVM?
Thanks.
