Until they install self-shelf-stocking and self-driving-the-fucking-trucks-to-the-store, I think the cashiers will be able to find other ways to be useful.

If Fred Meyer and QFC (Kroger’s regional brands) are going to stay open, what does this strike mean? Just picketers outside the stores?

They'll ship in non-union employees (either managers or those who have chosen to leave it) and run the store with that skeleton crew, possibly rush-hiring non-union employees too.

Oooh, we got a Harris Teeter here. Wonder if it's the same thing.

Will not meet our demands? Fuck you. Off like a light switch.

Employers, and more importantly employees, don't understand that labor is a competition. I find the comments on here stunning.

"We're so helpless!"

No. You are not. You work for minimum wage, or close enough, take your labor elsewhere. I just did. The employers will figure it out soon enough.

"But we can't..."

Fucking QUIT, WALK OUT, LEAVE. Yeah, you might suffer a bit, but they'll suffer more.

Guess we need leaders to point this all out and take action.
