A. The shirt itself goes very hard.

B. Usually I roll my eyes when people talk about the whole "Alpha/Beta Energy" BS, but this actually has me rethinking that entire POV. Sometimes just being brave enough to be yourself, whether it's in the deep south or anywhere else, takes a lot of balls. ❤️

Divorced dads 🤝 lesbians 🤝 teenage boys

(Their taste in t-shirts)

Hell yea

[–] blazeknave@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

I'm one of those and the other two I can definitely understand...

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Oh, I thought you were answering the question.

[–] mEEGal@lemmy.world 37 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] Empricorn@feddit.nl 15 points 3 days ago (2 children)

5, actually! Though we don't know what 2 of them say...

[–] archaeholic@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Pretty sure one says "Titties Enjoyer"

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I thought it was Titties Matter

[–] thomas@lemmy.ca 7 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Black shirt in the back clearly says "Titties sucker", but I can't guess what the white shirt says.

[–] fantacyde@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

White shirt on the right says Let's Scissor

[–] thomas@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I meant the other white shirt, the one that the lady in a grey hat wears.

[–] bstix@feddit.dk 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

My best guess judging by the visible letters is that it either says "I like your mom" or "Bukakke Soccer Mom".

[–] thomas@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago

While the second one is hilarious, it doesn't sound lesbiany enough. So my vote is on "I like your mom".

[–] normalexit@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

I assumed titties & beer, but I'm a simple man.

[–] CH3DD4R_G0BL1N@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I’m for a friendly competition to settle the matter.

[–] match@pawb.social 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

State Fairs just got spicy

[–] No_Eponym@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

But hopefully not fishy

[–] MummifiedClient5000@feddit.dk 28 points 3 days ago

Leave some for the rest of us.

Roller Derby?

[–] blazeknave@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Srsly wrt the south comment. Even there. Nawlins is the only place I've ever been physically assaulted for being a Jew (and somehow this blacked out Nazi just smelled it from the down the block and came at me out of the blue)

[–] TheAlbatross@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Leaving the coasts somehow sets you up for experiencing overt antisemitism. In Arizona, I was genuinely asked if matzo contains the blood of Christian children and I was expected to pay most of the time since "He's a Jew, he's got plenty". In NOLA I was asked to leave a bar by patrons with swastika tattoos. In Colorado, at a conference (they were from NC, I picked up a "fan" who wanted to shout Nazi slogans and do the salute around me after they overheard me speaking Yiddish.

I'm so sorry you were attacked in NOLA, it's absurd that we have to put up with this shit. I truly hope we can be free from this stupidity one day.

America is fucked up.

[–] blazeknave@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

My friend moved to Scottsdale almost 20 yrs ago. Had to give ID for something (buying booze?)

Saw her last name and refused service

Sorry you went through all that too. Yeah, this place didn't change. They all learned their place for a quick minute. They need to be reminded again.

[–] AcidicBasicGlitch@lemm.ee 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yeesh, I'm sorry dude, that's awful. I hope you pressed charges.

I don't get why some people have to be such lame ass pieces of shit. Imagine you're drunk and surrounded by music and people just having fun, enjoying themselves and trying to mind their own business, but you just can't pass up an opportunity to be an antisemitic scumbag.

[–] blazeknave@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Yeah exactly. It was so strange. I've been a drunk dick. Never in that city lol

Appreciate you. Luckily I was already used to getting targeted for being the only white kid in the neighborhood growing up, so I dodged him until his friends tackled him. He was like meth strong, it was terrifying. He wasn't even bigger than me or them.

I had time to ready myself thanks to him screaming down the block pointing at me, "I'm going to fucking kill you you f****t fucking kike!" Kind of him. Literally right off bourbon. It was late night and off season wkd. Angry Louisiana bigot in city to party

[–] SaneMartigan@aussie.zone 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I <3 MILFS gay little backpack sorta looks like a shoulder holster.

[–] hakunawazo@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

It's for the gay Glock.

[–] Harbinger01173430@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

God damn those legs are to die for. Sign me up

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I can read three of the shirts. What's the another two say?

[–] AcidicBasicGlitch@lemm.ee 12 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Idk, I didn't take the picture, just saw it and felt it would be appropriate for here.

One looks like something about titties? Maybe? No idea about the other.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 10 points 3 days ago

I think it might be "I ❤️ Titties and Beer". Like this

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 6 points 3 days ago

This is pretty great.

[–] ogmios@sh.itjust.works -3 points 3 days ago (4 children)

Imagine an overweight middle aged man wearing a shirt that says "moustache rides: $5".

Yea, not exactly alpha, huh?

[–] AcidicBasicGlitch@lemm.ee 26 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (2 children)

Right, but this isn't that.

This is a pack of lesbians in the deep south, not giving a fuck about what anyone thinks, even as the country is being driven towards civil war by uptight fundamentalists who hate freedom.

They're out to have a good time and enjoy themselves instead of looking to everyone else to see how they can judge them and insert themselves into everyone else's business. Looks like an easy going group of freedom loving Americans with a good sense of humor.

Context matters, so pretty fucking alpha in my book 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

[–] blackstampede@sh.itjust.works 11 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I mean, that was my takeaway. If everyone knows and accepts that you like pussy, then wearing a shirt that says "I ❤️ pussy" is just kinda skeevy, if not wildly inappropriate. If you're in a place where people either deny your sexual orientation exists or don't want your orientation to exist, then you're a badass for being explicit about what you like, and I'm comfortable with light applause.

[–] AcidicBasicGlitch@lemm.ee 14 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

They're in the French Quarter. She could be looking off camera and smirking at somebody yelling in a megaphone while telling her she's going to burn in hell, or a middle aged guy in a mustache rides t-shirt raising his cup to her bc he admires the game. Coin toss.

[–] blackstampede@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Fair. Weirdly, I've been one of those dudes with the megaphone lol.

[–] dnick@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (2 children)

Why would you assume she was gay, if it wasn't obvious from the shirt?

Edit: possible i misread, and we're actually agreeing. Didn't realize you weren't the person being responded to.

[–] Llewellyn@lemm.ee 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Couple of them have a certain stereotype outlook. As a gay I have an eye for that.

[–] dnick@sh.itjust.works 1 points 22 hours ago

Well, in case you were being serious, the point i was responding to was the 'if it's obvious to everyone that she's gay, then wearing a shirt with a shirt boating about it is somehow a little cringe'.

My point was both that just because someone looks stereotypically gay doesn't mean they are, so it's fair to wear a shirt proudly admitting it, even if it is a little over the top. The earlier comment about it being similar to sometimes Uncle wearing a shirt offering 'mustache rides' is completely off the mark since that is more of a crude case of a man trying to either boat about his manliness, or defect implications that he's gay.

These shirts are basically leaning into the 'f-you, this is who i am', unless they were specifically wearing them to a lesbian meet up hoping to impress other girls with the words on their shirt. If that were the case then it would match almost exactly to the mustache rides example.

[–] blackstampede@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago

No worries.

[–] semisimian@startrek.website 4 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Do lesbians travel in packs? I typed it into Google and for the first time in a while, it did not return an AI result. The most common mention of more than one lesbian congregating is in a "group." I'll ask my lesbian friends if there is preferred nomenclature for a gathering.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

You: Has lesbian friends, and yet doesn't know the answer already by observation.

Instead you asked a search engine that you were expecting an AI answer from.

There is a LOT going on here.

[–] Whats_your_reasoning@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

As a WLW, I believe the technical term for a group of lesbians is "roommates."

^/s^

[–] semisimian@startrek.website 1 points 2 days ago

Nice! My comment was a joke, but it didn't land as such. I'm still going to ask my friends what they prefer, but after a few drinks, because it is a joke query to begin with.

[–] Catoblepas@piefed.blahaj.zone 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

‘Lesbians wearing shirts about sex during Pride month are just like straight dudes wearing shirts about sex any time’ is incredibly kneejerk and poorly reasoned, you can do better than this.

[–] AcidicBasicGlitch@lemm.ee 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Gotta disagree with you in this particular case. Living here I see a lot of novelty sex shirts 24/7/365. Constant parties and groups of bachelor or bachelorettes. I usually don't think twice about it.

I have to give points for:

A. Originality. I've seen 'I <3 milfs' a million times before, but can't recall ever seeing this one. I imagine if Kenny Powers opened up a novelty T-shirts store in Daytona Beach, he would sell this shirt and attempt to trademark it.

B. Unexpectedness. When I first saw this, I was scrolling through several other pictures and hit this one. It was like rounding a corner and being taken by complete surprise. The randomness of the shirt combined with the person wearing it, and the look on her face, elicited a genuine "Guffaw," followed by me simply holding up my phone in response to the group of people I was with asking "What?"

It simply would have been too difficult to convey the complexity of the image into words, and all 6 people had a similar speechless reaction.

C. Rather than simply making a statement, it encourages one to really stop and think.

It sounds like you're in agreement with the comment above yours.

Because that (Hypothetical.) man probably actually thinks like that. This is just a group of women being funny.

You don’t have to like it.

Yea, not exactly alpha, huh?

Don't yuck their yum & harsh their mellow, shamer.
