Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

i'm getting some bloodwork i have been waiting for done, i guess not traditionally exciting but im so curious for the results, i love data!

Going to make a fish chowder tomorrow too that im excited about and just realized i forgot to get herbs for.

Things get a little tame as you age i guess 😂

I never get to nerd out about bloodwork enough! I used to be a phlebotomist, studied biomedical science at uni and still work in path lab adjacent fields (although virology was my main passion).

That's the kind of thing I get excited by too! We're old and that's ok. You said you love data are you autistic?

[–] sprite0@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 hour ago

oh yeah i'm neuro-xtra-spicy; adhd, autism and bipolar slathered with trauma and a side order of gender dysphoria. But i have meds and support and such so I get by pretty well all things considered!

Every July, I throw a party for my family themed on a different Marvel character. We've done Captain America, Black Widow, Spiderman, Ms. Marvel, and Deadpool. This year we're doing Moon Knight. I've decided to make an escape room for it and it's one of the few things exciting enough to break through my anhedonia.

That sounds like fun

I found this store on Etsy a while back, which I thought was awesome. And yesterday, I saw that they were being sold at Nordstrom. I was so excited for them!

my girlfriend and i are talking about going camping, so that sounds like just a whole lot of fun to me.

[–] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 6 points 11 hours ago

That'll be a blast! Where are you thinking about doing it?

28 years later is out really soon! Me and my friend are going to see it, she really likes horror and I really like dystopian. 28 days later is one of my all time favourite films so I'm so happy there's another one coming out. I've been looking forward to this for months!

I've got a project at work that's really interesting and I should hopefully really help a client. I'm excited about getting going on that.

Off to a baby shower! Not really a thing here so not certain what to expect but she's American/Canadian and her friend from Toronto is organising it in a really nice little cafe/tearoom.

If it's at a nice tearoom then at least you'll get good tea and cake!

[–] Pipster@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Just got back from it, it was really nice, plenty of sandwiches and cake to go around.

[–] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Oh niiiicee! What cake did you have?

[–] Pipster@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 56 minutes ago

Gosh trying to remember everything. Prosecco or peach iced tea to start (the latter was extremely popular in this hellish heat). Coronation chicken, egg mayo and cucumber & cream cheese sandwiches. 2 scones with jam and clotted cream (and yes we did have an argument as to the correct order), a lemon macaron, some almondy tartlette thing, cupcake with cream and a big ol' strawb and a fancy thing i dont even know the name of but brought home with me in a box (with the cupcake).

It was a lot of food. And tea!
