Leatherback sea turtles are hella neat! Deepest diving of all of the turtles. Absolutely fearless.
OP is into hentai confirmed
Batfish.
That looks oddly familiar.
That's batfish insane.
Greenland sharks have the longest lifespan of any known vertebrate, estimated to be between 250 and 500 years. They are among the largest extant shark species, reaching a maximum confirmed length of 6.4 m (21 ft) long and weighing over 1,000 kg (2,200 lb). They reach sexual maturity at about 150 years of age, and their pups are born alive after an estimated gestation period of 8 to 18 years.
Absolutely everything about them is interesting. And as far as an entity, they are a fantastic role model. The world would be a much better place if we were all more like the Greenland Shark.
Imagine being pregnant for 18 years...
Orca. They're just too damn cool, and they refuse to eat humans for some unknown reason. They, as a species, literally eat anything else that dares to enter their water including polar bears.
I personally maintain that some Orca took out an elderly or young human at some point, and the villagers responded by wiping out the entire pod of orca except for a traumatized survivor that told the rest of the orcas that they shouldn't ever eat the angry hairless monkeys, and the species has remembered for tens if not hundreds of thousands of years.
Gulper eel said, "I can't see shit down here. So I'm just going to swim around with my mouth open, and I'm just going to call whatever gets in there lunch."
To which evolution replied, "Bet?"
All of them. There's so many.

It's a whole new world down there. Forget Mars!

We didn’t start the fire
We didn't start the current!
It was always flowin'
Since the Earth's been slowin'
We didn't start the current!
So we decide to ride it
Since we can not fight it
Whats the scientific term for that oceangate thing that sploaded with all the billionaires?
Karma?
No love for iron snails?
It's not a super creative or interesting answer, but I'd be lying if I said anything other than the giant squid. That's gotta be one of the wildest most alien things on our planet. Squid are already fascinatingly weird and now you're telling me there are squids the size of a horse that fight whales at the bottom of the ocean? Amazing. Please stay down at the bottom of the sea where I am not. I know the colossal squid is bigger, but it's cool that the giant one is probably the basis of some of our most enduring myths of sea monsters and the name "giant squid" just rolls off the tongue really well
Siphonophores. Extremely alien looking colonial organisms. Iirc they are, by far, the longest known aquatic creatures.
Bruh siphonophores are so fascinating.
Idk if I have a fave deep sea creature, I’ll have to think about that.. but I’m rather fond of coconut crabs. They steal shit from people, and are enormous.
Oarfish give me a sense of dread in the pit of my stomach, they're so cool
Cephalopods of all kinds are fabulous, but it's a crime I haven't seen siphonophores here.
All octopodes are good octopodes.
I only recently learned about the Dumbo Octopus and I think it is adorable!
Cthulhu. Also the reason I refuse to go into the ocean. Hes in there somewhere and Im not chancing that encounter
Ohhhh dude, you're missing out ay, he is the sweetest dude ever, he took me on this awesome sea adventure, I met a Scottish lobster, a very camp sword fish, this weird little tribe of pygmy sea people and then I got to meet this awesome god like wallrus.
