open source and AI

I resent that these two terms are used interchangeably throughout the whole article. WT actual F.

Of course there's also this:

calculating the economic value

I think I don't llike the Linux foundation anymore. Not that I ever like-liked it. I hope they fire this unperson.

Crazy how that works.

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. The trick is striking a healthy balance.

Wow that took a unexpected turn. Removed my upvote after reading.

There is a lot more yikes in the article than I was expecting.

Trickle down economics at work. We all know most open source devs are super rich and receive a lot of that money. That's the only reason they can work so much on open source 😌

I mean, a lot of key software are FOSS. A world without linux, curl or ffmpeg would be extremely different.

Unfortunately that is not the point this article is making. At all.

That number combined an estimate of time saved by not having to develop software covered by open source and the profits reaped by companies using open source in production

People will be mad at this, but they can and should just use a different license if they are unhappy with leeching.
