Yeah. You are missing the ecolution of the meme to a nonsensical level where kid named finger is now a more successful meme than the original.
"Evolution" is also gonna remain mistyped too, isn't it?

There was never an original with "kid named paint", it was always "kid names finger", and r/OkBuddyChicanery just had so much brain damage this became the top meme of all time.

Making famous people sign other people's faces is always funny.
There are many stories about Daniel Radcliffe being confused for Elijah Wood and vice versa; this one is pretty good:
Radcliffe also shared a funny story about an occasion where he was mistaken for Wood, but because of a language barrier, he signed an autograph anyway--with the words, "I am not Elijah Wood."
"I was once on a red carpet in Japan and a photo of you [Wood] was thrust at me. My first instinct was to say, 'Oh, I'm not ... So I can't ...' but I thought the language barrier would be too much," Radcliffe said. "So the quickest way to deal with it was just to write, 'I am not Elijah Wood, [signed] Daniel Radcliffe,' and then hope somebody translated that for him later."
I remember reading some batshit pitch for a movie once where it was something like a buddy cop thing with Vin Diesel and Terry Crews (both IRL dnd-playing nerds), and they had to go undercover at comic-con to stop some terrorist plot. Point is, the bad guy turns out to be Daniel Radcliffe (played by Elijah Wood). With his lackey, Elijah Wood (played by Daniel Radcliffe).
This has given me temporary reprieve from a moment of blackhearted brooding. Thank you
