This is a satire account. Read the username from the tweet. Delete this post.

This is an incredibly common issue on the internet as a whole, but particularly on lemmy. But I don’t blame them. I used to, but then trumpcoin, followed by the plane, and the host of human rights violations of the last few months, and trump promising to bring MMA to the white house, and his approval ratings dropping only like 2% has led me to understand.

I just reflect on the recent past every time I see Lemmy bite the onion, and I feel a little worse about the world. I don’t recommend it.

We live in such a bizarre world that tramples on precedent constantly that I also don't blame anyone for believing it, but I do however think people who spread info have a further degree of responsibility to vet it, and those who recognize misinformation should hopefully fight it.

You’re right, but I never pass up an opportunity to doom about the state of society

Username checks out

It's messed up that so many people believe it. I belived it! I'm not on speaking terms with my mother any more since I had a conversation with her about his "grab em by the pussy" comments and her willingness to forgive him for that, despite his obvious lack of contrition. I can 100% believe that there are people out there that would forgive him raping their daughter.

I don't speak to my mother's entire side if the family because they are like this. It's not just rump either.

I've seen more women forgive their husbands and blame the daughters, than women hold their husbands accountable and protect their daughters. I've met families where the known family rapists is just as welcomed as his victims and they all play happy family to the neighborhood eyes.

I also know there are people that would forgive him for raping their daughter. They might even feel pride about it because he chose theirs. Excuse me, I just puked.

This may be satire, but it's really holding hella societal truths.

Perhaps leaving the post up with the comments can be better than deleting it? As a learning experience

You're fighting a losing battle, lemmy mods need content no matter how shitposty and most lemmings don't care if its satire or not they just want a license to hate

I have seen a mother that is being held by ice say that she still supports trump and knows that she will be safe because she is a good christian. I have seen multiple people say that even if trump was on the list they would support him. Those were not satire accounts. If people are still MAGA at this point they are worthy of contempt because there is nothing that can be done to save them from a cult they believe in so firmly.

[–] Angry_Autist@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

I think they are worthy of a lot more legal based action than just contempt and hanging is still on the books for treason

I think doing away with public hangings may have led to where we are, where no one fears consequences for anything

Be a rapist: get punished

Be a rich rapist: get pardoned

[–] DarkDecay@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago

And worshipped by the simple minded and morally degenerate...fucking pathetic people

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 days ago

You forgot "Be religious rapist: get a new parish"

[–] answersplease77@lemmy.world 17 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I hope his daughters cut him out of their lives forever

The koolaid can't come quick enough.

[–] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 41 points 3 days ago

Performative. We all know that conservatives instantly understand the problem once it actually affects them personally.

[–] Sgt_choke_n_stroke@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago

Religion is a tool used on the weak minded people like this.

[–] TuffNutzes@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's called mental illness. Cults are another level entirely. Jim Jones raped his followers' kids so it would make sense that Trump's cult would happily allow their rapist leader to rape their kids too.

I read an article posted to lemmy today from the kid of a Moonie. They grew up in the cult and left as an adult. In the article they compare what the Moonies did to what Trump is doing right now.

[–] Bosht@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

Mental gymnastics off the charts. Bet he's a fucking cuck.

Forgiving someone and excusing them from repercussions are two different thing. Further more, you can forgive some and still choose not to trust them.

[–] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 days ago

Not with fascists, they deal in absolutes.

[–] HappySkullsplitter@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago (2 children)

They're ready.

Bring out the tub of Flavor Aid

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 7 points 3 days ago

Can they please get on with it? This is getting really tiresome.

[–] Glytch@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Good on you for using the correct brand of flavored powder and not perpetuating Kool-Aid slander.

[–] raynethackery@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

I just threw up a little.

[–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 5 points 2 days ago

It's legit a mass Jonestown cult!

[–] frenchfryenjoyer 3 points 2 days ago

ffs. literal cult mentality, you can't get anymore blatant than this

[–] azimir@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Conservatives are monarchist at heart. Once they've bowed to a king, they will accept any abuses by that king as well. They're only in favor of a Republic and civil rights when forced to be.

[–] Angry_Autist@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Fucking this, you can literally track the families from the original colonies to the southern plantations to the rural uneducated nationwide

[–] lol_idk@lemmy.ml 5 points 3 days ago

Broken is the wrong word

[–] P1k1e@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Jesus fucking christ

[–] Capricorn_Geriatric@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

So if He forgave you but you won't, is there perhaps another rape-daughter we should know about?
