Charles, in addition to being a great fiction author, is also an occasion guest here on awful.systems. This is a great article from him, but I'm pretty sure it's done the rounds already. Not that I'm complaining, given how much these guys bitch about science fiction and adjacent subjects.

AI-Industrial-Complex grift is fine as long as it sufficiently relates to the AI doom from the TREACLES. (Though TechTakes may be more suitable.)

Don't think he was that active here recently, iirc he is working on more books, and had some health issues recently. Not sure how much he just randomly drops in or actively keeps up. If you still have an rss reading adding his blog to your list might be interesting.
