Issues with remote viewer (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

When I try opening remote viewer on a computer with display scaling it scales the opposite way to what it's supposed to, making the image smaller rather than larger.

.vv files will also try to open with kate from Firefox, even though the system default application is set correctly as it works fine from a file manager.

This is on CachyOS with KDE.

I had trouble with firefox file associations in general. No matter what I have set in the system settings, firefox somehow has it's own thing that I can't figure out how to configure and it uses a completely different application. It's like this for lots of filetypes.
