“The combination of DEI and immigration is politically lethal. When these two forms of discrimination combine, as they have for the last 60 years and on hyperdrive for the last decade, they systematically cut most of the children of the Trump voter base out of any realistic prospect of access to higher education and corporate America,” Andreesseen wrote, according to the report.

“They declared war on 70% of the country and now they’re going to pay the price.”

The rapid-fire blast of texts were sent to a WhatsApp group used by Trump officials to discuss AI policy with tech leaders and academics, according to the Washington Post.

Andreessen deleted many of the messages after sending them, according to screenshots and two members of the text chat who spoke to the newspaper.

In the group chat, Andreessen allegedly called for the National Science Foundation, an independent government agency that funds research, to receive “the bureaucratic death penalty.”

Why anyone still listens to rich white fascist dudes is beyond me.

[–] logicbomb@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago

I remember when rich white fascist dudes tended to keep their stupid fucking opinions to themselves, and only worked to ruin humanity behind the scenes. Those were the days.

Humpty Dumpty lookin motherfucker.

Education at all levels should be freely available to everyone who wants it. While billionaire oligarchs hoard unfathomable sums of our social wealth, they limit and ration our opportunities for education on certain arbitrary bases. Expropriate capital and make the former capitalist live at an equal level to the rest of society.

He's saying the base has stupid children who have no chance of competing when illegal discrimination is taken away? I mean even if you ban immigrants and minorities, elite schools aren't going to fix your barely functional brats no matter how much money you dump on them. And who is going to put up with TAing all those classes if only rich white people show up? Immigrants and broke grad students are the backbone of the freshman course load! You think tenured professors show up for those 8 pm intro level lectures and labs? Right.

Billionaires like to target anyone they feel like in order to engineer society to their liking.

This is based on the faulty premise that they are are not on the field of play, and somehow exempt from being at the receiving end of the behavior that they inflict on the rest of humanity.

It isn't rules for thee and not for me, it's the directionality of it: We inflict, you accept.

This is the specific reason that Billionaires want St. Luigi dead.

Stop giving credence to the indulgent rants of self-interested billionaire fascists.

This isn't a rant. This is policy.
