This post was reported. The reason given:

OP's title isn't good faith argumentation as per the rules. It's an inappropriate and absurd reference to dementia

Many professionals have noted that Trump has shown multiple signs of dementia. This means that while it may not be completely accurate, the headline doesn't appear to be in bad faith.

Leaving it up.

[–] bytesonbike@discuss.online 5 points 1 month ago

Greatly Appreciate it.

It's not normal for a person to yell at people on the roof. And if that isn't textbook dementia, I don't know what is.

I can probably tone down on the snark...

I've been saying so since high school.

[–] invertedspear@lemmy.zip 9 points 1 month ago

We don’t know how old you are my dude. High school could have been last year, or in the 80s.

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Well it's clearly not the good place, because I can say ~~fork~~

[–] kinther@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Wait, are we in the bad place?

[–] Chef@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 month ago

HOLY FORKING SHIRTBALLS

[–] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Hell was nicer back then, though.

[–] ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

What are you in for? I pirated video games and movies.

[–] YtA4QCam2A9j7EfTgHrH@infosec.pub 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Chronic masturbation. The corn flakes didn’t help

I had that feeling for quite some time now. We are actually in hell that's why our prayers are not being heard. Being in hell means we are left in our own.

[–] JennyLaFae@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 month ago

Quantum immortality but your sins send you another layer closer to hell where the timeline is worse.

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 99 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Y'all wanted Democrats to stand the fuck up. Comments:

Fuck Newsom! He's not pure enough!

And that is why we so fucking always lose.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 39 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I saw AOC use her right hand once so she’s not pure enough either.

[–] Hobo@lemmy.world 50 points 1 month ago (7 children)

I kind of cringe everytime someone goes off about some dumbass purity test for AOC. Like one of the most, if not the most, progressive politicians of my lifetime and jokers want to get mad at her because this one time she wasn't progressive enough. Like how the fuck do people think you push politics in general to the left? By electing some middling democrat, or even a republican, because the progressive candidate wasn't progressive enough? How does that make any fucking sense?

[–] tankplanker@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

I am convinced that at least some of that is from her competition in her own party who lean further right and republicans. Best time for a coward to attack is when your opponent is already down

Newsom is ambitious, self-serving, Randian, right-wing neoliberal scum. However, I would still pick him over the murderous criminal totalitarian child rapists currently running the US.

[–] NevermindNoMind@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

"Newsome's press staffer sent a funny tweet. I guess that makes up for him creating a platform to shit on trans people with right wing monsters, saying that Dems should ignore Trump sending innocent people to an El Salvador gulag because the issue is a political loser, and years of shit policies"

The reason Dems lose is because they don't ever actually do anything. A tweet is not an action. It's performative bullshit.

So, hehe funny tweet. But also, fuck newsome, do something.

[–] Kobibi@sh.itjust.works 23 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (4 children)

He's threatening to redistrict California in response to Republican Leaders gerrymandering Texas

He states he has found a way to gerrymander California to eliminate 5 Republican seats whilest abiding by the Voting Rights Act

He has held multiple press conferences and public appearances drawing attention to this

This tweet is about - and part of - this effort to draw national attention to gerrymandering

It's too soon to say if he'll follow through with his threat, but he's done a lot.

I don't like Newsome, but respect this - don't just shit on it. This is the action you're asking for

Seriously why the fuck not. Do it gavin

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 47 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Edit: This post is an actual copy of his tweet by OP

More:

"You are playing with fire, risking the destabilization of our democracy, while knowing that California can neutralize any gains you hope to make," he said. "This attempt to rig congressional maps to hold onto power before a single vote is cast in the 2026 election is an affront to American democracy."

"DONALD TRUMP HAS 24 HOURS LEFT TO RESPOND TO GOVERNOR NEWSOM’S LETTER. IF HE DOES NOT STAND DOWN, THERE WILL BE A VERY IMPORTANT PRESS CONFERENCE THIS WEEK WITH A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER."

I like this, more politicians should use ""inflammatory"" language against Trump

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world 20 points 1 month ago

Been screaming for this for years! Bait him, taunt him, fuck him up. He's literally easier to manipulate than a toddler. Ridicule him, satirize him, lampoon him until he's a non-functional mess. God it's so fucking easy if one dares.

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 31 points 1 month ago

Release the Trump/Epstein files

[–] moakley@lemmy.world 29 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Everything else aside, it's good satire. It's just a well-executed joke.

[–] moseschrute@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (3 children)

I wonder what would happen if the entire party started mocking Trump like this. Maybe this is our JD Vance meme moment but for Trump.

Is this really real?

It's awesome if it is. I mean, it's sad, but in this universe, currently, awesome

[–] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

It is real.

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 24 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] sunbytes@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

"ChatGPT, write a tweet in the style of..."

Em-dashes aren't definitive proof of LLM content, but competent satire is usually beyond the reach of the political class.

[–] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Hey, Gavin, your buddy is looking for you in Saint Denis.

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

Gavin!? Gaaaaav

[–] jsomae@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 month ago (2 children)

The enemy of my enemy.... is still an asshole. Fuck Newsom.

[–] nymnympseudonym@lemmy.world 16 points 1 month ago

I agree, and I lived in CA while this twat was picking up signs and pretending to care about union workers.

...

... and I'd still vote Newsom over Trump, with a song on my lips

[–] buddascrayon@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Well the stupid thing about it is, is that California voted to do away with partisan gerrymandering. So I don't know how the hell Newsom is going to gerrymander California in response to what's going on in Texas.

America's favorite governor? Yeah, no. Fuck that guy. He's an asshole that just happens to be fighting Trump, which most of us like.

Big Joe Biden energy with this guy.

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 50 points 1 month ago (1 children)

He knows he's not, he's just mocking Trump.

[–] taiyang@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Yknow, begs the question who the real favorite governor is. I'm guessing Walz, given national spotlight, but who else?

[–] bran_buckler@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Pritzker (IL) is probably up there along with Mills (ME), both have also made stands against trump.

I'd vote for the guy, man. Walz for president.

Does anyone even know who the governor of any state that isn't California, New York, Texas, Florida, or the one they live in is? Aside from Walz, of course.

So pedophile dictator cheeto Trump will have to respond to this, in Neeson's writing style?

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 month ago

The words are too big, that won't be possible.

And the country moves one step closer..
