Sips of beer when I was a kid.
Or if you mean for real, a shot of vodka that did not stay down.

Sips of beer when I was a kid.

Vodka with orange juice I think
Sips of beer from my parents when I was a child.
Leftover warm Heineken at the bottom of a bottle. After a dinner party thrown by my parents. Snuck a little swig while the grownups were outside saying goodbye. I must have been 9 or 10-yo. Tasted like snakebite. Just awful.
Didn't go near beer till midway through college.
I had a deal with my Dad. If I get him a beer, he'll give me the first sip. I remember it being gross. 🤢
MGD (Miller genuine draft) when I was Six.
Dad puts water down and I’m always allowed to drink from it, he always had super chilled water with ice. It always tasted good.
He put this thing down, it was ice cold so I took my normal two gulps. He comes back from the bathroom and yells at my older brother asking if he took a drink of his beer. “No, I hate the taste of beer”
Looks down at me with a giant ass grin on my face.
A sip of red wine the adults said was the blood of a man who lived about 2,000 years ago.
First sip aside from magic ceremonies, a cold beer alongside a ham sandwich while working outside. Probably an american lager like Coors or Bud Light.
All I got was grape juice :(
Yukon Jack at 14.
Fucking disgusting.
My cousins and I made some drink one year at a New Years party when we found ourselves alone in the kitchen. I don't remember the booze, but we mixed it with juicy juice. I was 12. I sipped the cup being passed around us 6-7 cousins, but none of us drank enough for effect.
Two years later it was yukon jack with friends. I remember falling asleep in the park.
The first time I got "wasted" I was 17. I don't fucking remember what we were drinking. I do remember I party fouled the bowl of weed being passed around though lol
Budweiser in the middle of the night at a party on the shore of Lake Cumberland in Kentucky.
The party was great, but the "beer" was so thoroughly disgusting that I have not drunk it since and that was 35 years ago.
Life is too short to drink bad beer.
At seventeen, I drank several beers to see if I could get used to the awful taste. The answer turned out to be "no". It put me off alcohol for life.
I have tried various a lot of different drinks, but I have never found anything alcoholic that I actually like. I am now in my 60's and I'm perfectly happy with not drinking.
I'm in my middle 50's. There are alcoholic drinks I do like, but Miller and Budweiser and not among them. The wife and I will have wine, typically a Malbac or Chianti, with dinner a few times a month, then I'll use the rest of the bottle to cook with. My local liquor store has a great selection of beers that you can mix and match. I usually pick up a 6 pack, especially when Dopplebocks are in season. A local brewery here has a "Dark Dopplebock" that is really good. Those 6 will sit in my fridge over the next several months until I slowly get to them.
Grandad let me have a taste of whiskey when I was a kitten, maybe five or six. I didn't like it.
Mom took me on a vacation to NYC a few months after my 21st birthday. Had a rum&coke during an off-Broadway showing of Spamalot. It was acceptable.
Sorry i am no english native speaker... Did you have rum and cocain or rum and coca-cola?
The latter. Not even coca-cola gets to have cocaine in it anymore.
I think it was a bottle of Miller draft, dad let me have a sip when I was 15 or so. It tasted so gross I stayed away from beer and alcohol until well into my 20's, I just couldn't understand why people drank that stuff.
Eventually realized not all beer tastes the same haha.
Like most US teens: Stolen beer.
Ahem. Illegally purchased beer. Thank you.
To this day, I always wonder about the boots who actually bought stuff for my crew of teenaged degenerates. We almost always cold approached strangers around the liquor store, and always found at least one person within (on average) 30 minutes.
It was actually kinda rare for someone to take a cut too (though did happen occasionally). I know I don't fuck with that as an adult now, the fines are pretty severe (and were back then too).
My dad let me taste a tiny amount of some forgettable beer when I was a teen. I didn't really like it and didn't actually start drinking until I was 22 (largely because of rampant alcoholism on all sides of my family)
Whiskey (Wild Turkey I think) when I was teething. I know I was told to rub it on the gums of my siblings being the oldest. First I got drunk on was moonshine when I was 8. Cool step uncle used to give me cigarettes, booze and weed. I kept an eye on his still and weed plants out in the woods.
Beer if you count the sip my dad gave me as a toddler.
Plum rice wine if you count my first real underage drinking experience.
My first legal drink was rumple minze.
Bad decisions all around.
I stole a Coors Lite from my folks fridge at 16. Tasted gross. Stole liquor from the pantry a few times after that. Never managed to get drunk off of it, since I couldnt steal enough without being concerned they would notice.
Wine. Red wine.
I was still a little kid and tasted it from my granddad's glass, just a sip. I begged to be allowed to taste it, as I wanted to do like all the grown ups were doing. I hated the taste. That changed as I grew older.
Nowadays, approx the same age my granddad was back then, I don't drink wine anymore but I certainly don't hate the taste ;)
A half pint of Smithwick’s in The Long Dock in Carrigaholt, Co. Clare, Ireland, in the late 90s. I was 14. It was glory in a glass.
7 or 8 shots of vodka on my 15th birthday. I was pretty sure the hangover was going to kill me...
I had a sip of beer or wine here or there as a kid, but my first "real" drink was shitty vodka mixed with grape juice. Tasted like cough syrup. I was 18, very depressed, hanging out with friends, and up to make poor decisions.
Later that night I had one mouthful of "Natural Ice" and poured the rest down the sink at some house party we managed to wander into. Don't know how something can taste like skunk and watered down piss at once, but they made it happen.
Shocked I drank much at all after that mess of a night. Now I know that I have a recessive genetic liver condition, so no more booze for me, outside of small sips of whatever new craft beer the wife has found.
It was my grandmother’s homemade plum wine.
She has passed away now, so it remains a very strong memory for me.
Cheap French lager in one of those stubby bottles. Funny how I remember the taste favourably even though I don’t like lager these days.
Champagne in Reims when i was 12 Was good. But i dont drink alcohole in anything
Wine mixed with gassosa (basically a mildly lemony soda) my grandpa had on sundays. My grandpa tended to drink pretty sweet wine. So mixed with gassosa it tasted really good even as a kid.
My neck of the woods is somewhat lax about alcohol in family situations. Kids were usually allowed to taste so they would get used to the taste of alcohol for the future.
Whatever the drunk RVers left for us in their coolers.
A can of Tennants lager in Scotland in the 70s, given to me by my maternal grandfather. Probably about 3.2% or 3.6% abv. Tennants cans had a picture of an attractive girl in a swimsuit on every can. A four pack would have four different girls. The one on my first can was called Isabel.
First alcohol in a pub was from my paternal grandfather. I was fourteen. Grandpa ordered two pints of bitter. The barman asked him how old I was. “Eighteen. Scrawny little bugger in’t he?”
Sip of beer, mostly foam, almost certainly a yuengling or Budweiser.
Also would occasionally have a small glass of wine or champagne for holiday dinners and such.
Liquor was a shot of some kind of fruity vodka, chased with some Gatorade. I was about 18 or 19, didn't really drink but my girlfriend did, and she wanted to have a drink with me so I obliged. Only time I drank with her.
Couple years later I was still living at home, I was about 19 or 20, parents were out of town and I was looking to make dinner. Found a recipe that sounded good that called for some beer, texted my parents I was gonna use a beer for cooking and got the ok. Used about half the beer, drank the other half. I believe it was a yuengling Oktoberfest.
First proper time drinking was about 2 weeks before I turned 21. I stayed on with my old scout troop as a leader, and we were going to be away on a week long canoe trip over my birthday. I was at a friend's shore house hanging out for a few days, and since a couple of us were 21, we grabbed a case of beer, I believe corona and a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black. We didn't go hard, we sat on the deck, smoked some cigars, had some scotch and a couple beers, but mostly we just hung out, went to the beach, and played D&D.
After I got back from my trip, for my first legal drink I went out with some coworkers after work. Had a few Yuenglings and a shot of Jack. Had a nice buzz going so I walked home. Had the hiccups most of the way.
I was like 8 or 9 and my family was on a weekend trip up the St John's River on our neighbor's cabin cruiser, I got to try a sip of the neighbor's strawberry daiquiri before she made a virgin one for me.
Seems like I'm the odd one actually enjoying my first taste of alcohol. Fortunately I never became a heavy drinker even if I did develop a wider taste in alcohol as an adult.
Don't remember the very first. However, I got totally drunk from draft beer at a campground clambake. My mother and a camp worker had to load me into a golf cart to get me back to our site. I was about 15-16 y/o.
Last drops in beer bottles handed to me by my parents. Couple of years after that I was allowed proper glasses of table beer during festivities. All this before I was 12.
Yes, it was the beer from next town's brewery (it doesn't exist anymore)
A couple sips of a beaujolais. It was super dry, and I did not care for it. Nowadays, I love dry reds.
Me and my bestie snuck a Red Dog beer out from her neighbors garage and we split it when we were 14. We thought we got drunk off that half can of beer each, I'll never forget that day we had so much fun laughing. 30 years later and now I brew my own. Cheers!
First time getting lightly drunk was after eating all the strawberries from the punch bowl for the grown ups.
A few years later I drank beer until I felt drunk for the first time.
When I was like 4 or 5, I remember vividly that we would go visit my aunt and uncle. My father and my uncle would drink ouzo out of these fancy glasses with silver around the rim. Seeing a clear liquid, and being very thirsty from running around the yard, I went to one of the glasses for some water. I don't remember exactly if the adults encouraged me or tried to stop me, but I remember thinking that those glasses made water taste really bad. I still have a visceral reaction to silver-rimmed drinkware to this day.
In high school, we drank beer, sometimes wine, and vodka or rum if we could get it.
Beer
First I remember is a shot of gin. Fiery Christmas water.
Sparkling wine.
probably midori
A simple pilsner beer when I celebrated my 14th with my family.
Strawberry wine cooler from my aunt's refrigerator.
Coors light, I was 14 and didn’t finish it
