I made this as a standalone comic strip based on my earlier comic - When You're Evil that is on an indefinite hiatus until I decide whether I want to continue drawing webcomics or not (for now it's a no).

What about the bone it choked on? Does that also come alive?
Good question. On one hand I would like to say no, because it wasn't a part of the dog originally, but on the other hand, with that bone still in its throat it would probably sound like a flute every time it opens its mouth, so now I am torn. They could rename the dog to Mr. TromBONE, and it would control the sounds it makes by moving the undead bone ๐

This was basically the plot of an early American Dad! episode.
Really? I've never seen that show.
You certainly should! The early episodes are very much a product of their time, so they've perhaps lost a bit of their appeal in the intervening time ... Or maybe not, I've not watched those seasons in a while.
However, the newer seasons are all excellent in my opinion.
The episode I originally referenced has the family lose a dog, then resurrect with results that horrify most of the characters. I think it might be in season one.
