Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

There was a press conference with the victims, and they said they would be putting together their own list, since they know exactly who was involved.

However, they didn't clarify whether that list would be made public. I think it needs to be made public.

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Margie Green said she'd read the list on the house floor.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

The list of Democrats and Joos.

[–] Showroom7561@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'll believe it when I see it. That woman does nothing objectively good for the benefit of others.

[–] onslaught545@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think the Epstein stuff is about the only thing she's ever been consistent about.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

Because she sees it as a tool to go after the Clinton Democrats. She will never admit Trump was buddies with the Clintons on the Island.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 4 points 1 day ago

First time I've ever been on Empty G's side. This is what they mean when say "Politics makes strange bedfellows."

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 60 points 2 days ago

If they’re irrelevant then why not release them?

What’s the harm, they’re irrelevant, right?

[–] bigbabybilly@lemmy.world 67 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Can’t wait until this fuck is a distant memory.

[–] Lodespawn@aussie.zone 40 points 2 days ago (5 children)

I don't think he needs to be a distant memory. He needs to be held up for generations as the epitome of all that is wrong with the world.

We need regular societal level analysis of why we should avoid letting things get to a point where another Trump like figure emerges and investigation in how best to deal with it when it does.

Also "Don" or "Trump" should be made a synonym for explosive diarreah.

[–] null_dot@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago

The 2030s and 2040s are looking pretty bleak with climate change impacts.

I don't think we'll all be congratulating ourselves on how great things are going without Trump.

I think we're on a pretty bleak trajectory, and Trumpism is a manifestation of society's anxiety around that. Poor uneducated idiots want to pretend it's not happening, and wealthy fucks want to implement a slave class to live in the wasteland and produce soylent

[–] mister_flibble@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You're both right. This shit needs to be remembered by history as a lesson, but I also deeply look forward to it no longer being current events.

I cannot wait for the first time, after his inevitable passing, that I go a full week without hearing his name or seeing his stupid fucking sphincter looking face. Not forgotten, just not a constant goddamn onslaught.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 days ago

but I also deeply look forward to it no longer being current events.

There was a brief time, prior to the election in 2024, that I truly thought that I might not ever need to read or hear about this piece of shit ever again (I'm sure he'd still do stupid shit in the news, but I won't have to read it to stay abreast).

I miss that feeling.

"Im not coming in today. I've been Trumping on the toilet all night."

It works

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Upvoted for that last sentence.

[–] bigbabybilly@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

I totally agree with the sentiment of your reply. I just mean, I want him in the past, because he makes the present a daily dread-fest.

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 39 points 2 days ago (1 children)

My life won't possibly be long enough for it to be as distant as I'd like.

Excited to wake up and realize I was just having an incredibly vivid COVID fever dream

"I know I massively ran my campaign on these files, and naming the paedos, but they are now irrelevant because I'm in power, suckers. And I will be until I die, whether that's in a few years or a decade or so, SUCKERS.
But the main reason they are irrelevant is because I'm in them there files due to all my kiddie fiddling I did with my convicted child rapist best mate, Jeffery. Lol, all you had to do was believe ⅒th of the accusations and you'd see what sort of person I am, and the reign of terror I wrought on these kiddies, and women. But you didn't want to do that, SUCKERS.

You voted -or protest voted, or chose to not vote at all- for this.

THANK YOU FOR HAVING NO ATTENTION IN THIS MATTER!"

[–] frenchfryenjoyer 26 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Wait, I thought they "didn't exist"? Now they exist but are "irrelevant"?

[–] aeternum@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 2 days ago

get out of here with that logic and consistency. /s

Well Mr poopie pants if they don't mean a thing release them.

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 47 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Now they are irrelevant? Well I guess that means they exist again.

[–] RestrictedAccount@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

Exactly. And if they are irrelevant, then toss ‘em over.

[–] MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world 35 points 2 days ago

Release the Trump/Epstein files

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

He will never give up trying to discredit all of it. That all he knows how to do. No honor, no ethics, no humility in any way

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He's right, unfortunately. The people that do care don't have the stones to do anything about it even if his name is on every single page. The other side is so devoted to this cum dumpster that they will cheer about the fact that his name is on every single page.

[–] null_dot@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago

Yep. As if this administration would release something harmful to themselves.

[–] TwinTitans@lemmy.world 21 points 2 days ago (2 children)

“I don’t do that anymore, so who cares” - DJT

[–] massacre@lemmy.world 15 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Probably more like "I can't do that anymore"

Not till they round up enough kidnapped immigrants children to fill the new island

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

"cuz Jeff is dead. He was my hook up."

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 days ago

We all knew that's what he would say after his minions had a chance to redact all mentions of him in the files.

[–] 60d@lemmy.ca 25 points 2 days ago

They're so irrelevant that Trumpstein's afraid to release em.

[–] betanumerus@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

The insulter-in-chief is wrong. People making petitions are never irrelevant and the insulter-in-chief should not be insulting them.

[–] AlexLost@lemmy.world 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It's like asking a criminal of they are a criminal. Oh yeah, it was totally me. I for sure certainly did it! Ask the victims, and the masses how they feel about it, not the fucking perp.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

"Nope, they all lyin' about me." -Pedophile-in-Chief

"Makes sense." - MAGA Nazis

[–] partial_accumen@lemmy.world 22 points 2 days ago

Cool, then release them all, asshole.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago (2 children)

ABCNews, subsevient to fascists, using a months old picture to avoid bringing up his recent cardiac episode or blood coming out his - wherever.

wait are they actually lying? they say the photo is from today. is that straight up a lie?

[–] theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world 25 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (4 children)

No, this commenter is spreading misinformation. The photograph was taken today, Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Here is a stream that was live from the press event that the photograph was taken during: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZ-nNZ5G6g8

Trump is wearing the same suit, tie, pin, and makeup in the photograph and the stream. You can judge for yourself how healthy or not he looks from the video.

If Trump does something, it's probably illegal. If something is illegal, Trump has probably done it.

[–] Ronno@feddit.nl 6 points 2 days ago

Obviously it's irrelevant, because he is in there and we all know it.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He needs to take a trip to hell

[–] redlemace@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

The reason he's still alive is Satan does not want him around the woman and children in hell
