"That’s why we manufacture all of our products here in Canada, collaborating with local partners who share our values, from R&D to the printing of our labels."

I wax my chains, so I don't use their lube, but their bike cleaning products are fantastic!

It came stock on my OnePlus 13 as an integrated app.

I was able to run it as a guest, but then Google changed it so that you're forced to log in with your Google account in order to use it.

Google literally has to ruin everything.

Ontario didn't have to cut energy off, but they could have added extra fees to the delivery charges. We had leverage, and never made use of it.

You’re right, but in the age group 18-29 the majority isn’t a PC gamer.

For sure, but we're still talking millions of young people with at least a PC (for gaming).

Also in college more and more people only use a tablet. I feel also a growing number of not young people are switching to a tablet or have a laptop laying around somewhere for that one time you need it.

Interestingly enough, the EU reports (as late as 2023) that desktop use to access the internet has gone down over the years, but so has tablet use. Laptop, phones, and smart devices (i.e. smart TVs) went up.

But I didn't see a breakdown of the age groups there, and it doesn't expand on gaming/non-gaming habits, just "devices used to access the internet".

I went through a phase where I did everything on Android tablets, then a Windows tablet, then back to a laptop. LOL I still have a desktop PC, but my laptop is my daily driver.

Are there any accurate figures for stramdeck users? I don't know anyone who has one, but plenty who have gaming PCs.

We can do minimal trade, and only when absolutely necessary, with Blue states.

Everything is ~~2 weeks~~ Friday for this guy.

He waits until the last possible moment before the weekend to drop his bi-polar outbursts on social media...

Assuming he gets to Friday. Shit changes every few hours with him.

There seems to be some benefit to having a formal deal in place.

Yes, but the "in place" part is what's in question. You can sign a deal, and the next day Trump can say it was a bad deal and it's off the table... again.

Much of the stuff he's bickering about now are things HE negotiated during his first term! He'll never be happy, and we have to stop wasting time on this baboon and seek partnerships with leaders who aren't complete assholes.

He already flip-flopped on energy going to the states, and that was months ago. Maybe if he kept his word, we wouldn't still be playing this game.

What's the point? Even if we reach a deal, it's not like Trump is stable or trustworthy enough to honour it.

We MUST keep our threats in place for at least 30 days after Trump's last threat, or else this off-and-on bullshit will just continue indefinitely. And we should extend that delay every time Trump plays his games.

I'm on Aurora (which is based on Fedora silverblue) and after updating, I started getting that error (yesterday).

Followed the instructions and got back in, but earlier today when I manually locked the PC, I didn't get the error screen, just a mouse and black screen. Followed the same instructions to get back into my desktop.

It's already been reported as a bug, and I think a new update should fix it really soon.

Fuck ticks, but nature has a sense of humour with this meat allergy. LOL

I've been to a few bike shops that don't have any bike racks outside. It's bizarre. Like, you have to bring your bike in the shop just to pick something up or to have a look around.

I'm not even talking about one place that does this, I have at least three in the area where there are no bike racks at all.

Is this normal? Why???

I've seen several of these around, on roads. And to be honest, if I had to replace my car, it might be for one of these!

But what the hell? They are ONLY allowed on sidewalks, which IMO, they really shouldn't be. And are NOT allowed on roads because they are classified as "pedestrians"?

We need new laws to accomodate and encourage the adoption of "mini cars" as car alternatives within urban and sububan travel..

(Link is in the title)

Registration ends tomorrow (June 19th). It's a great event that takes you though many of Ajax' cycle-friendly trails and communities.

Selling price approx. $12,500 Canadian.

Honestly, not bad when you consider the utility. Way cheaper than a second car, or as a replacement for a car that's rarely used.

I just worry that as these e-bikes get more complex, it just serves as an additional barrier for people.

It might be more effective for the sign to read "4 points + $280 fine" instead of "80km/h" when you're in a 40km/h zone, no?

I just filed a complaint with one of the local Regions about the horrific mess of debris in their marked, on-street bike lanes.

I even specifically asked if street sweepers are cleaning the bike lanes, or if they are just using them to dump road debris on.

I was told that because these roads are busy, debris ends up in the bike lanes. Fine, I can accept that.

Except...

The same and similar stretches of road without bike lanes do NOT have this debris on it. It's quite literally only the bike lanes that do.

For example:

Bike lanes:

And this just after the bike lane ends:

This same example came up closer to the urban population:

Leading up to the bike lanes:

Bike lane is just ahead:

Road debris starts as soon as the bike lane starts, and gets worse as you continue.

And magically disappear once the bike lane is no longer on the road:

I've been on that route three times in the last year, and the conditions of the bike lanes has been exactly the same.

Just to point out, I've ridden on plenty of on-street bike lanes, as well as roads with urban and rural paved shoulders in other areas, and they don't exhibit this pattern of debris physics.

Yes, some places have bad bike lanes, but their shoulders are also a mess. This just doesn't seem to be the case here.

Was I just gaslit, bad luck, or does this seem like a massive coincidence spanning dozens of kilometres?

Well worth the watch, whether you know anything about Lael or not. 🥰🚲🌎

A few weeks back, this grocery store set out these plant racks that essentially blocked the walkway, except for a small strip running parallel to the curb (only one person at a time could pass through, as you can see).

At that time, I helped a senior lady who was using a walker to get through it, because she could have easily fallen off the curb if the wheel slipped over the edge.

So I let the store management know that it was dangerous and they needed to give people more space.

Today, I noticed that they put a skid down, completely blocking the narrow path.

This forces people to walk between the plant racks, which is even more narrow. Coupled with the fact that some of the plants are put on the ground (lazy customers??), so you actually can't pass without some major maneuvering.

Someone at the store surely must realize how bad of an idea this is. Or is doing it out of spite.

And to make matters worse, behind where this photo is taken is plenty of open space to put those plant racks. I know this because there used to be a bike rack, but it was removed and never replaced... 😡
