what does "radicals" even mean in this context

[–] Jrockwar@feddit.uk 14 points 1 day ago

That they're not republicans in disguise.

It has no substance, just your standard divisive News Corp speak.

[–] SoloCritical@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

It means they care about people.

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

That they believe people have rights

[–] Zwrt@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 22 hours ago

They want something to change in the benefit of the people.

[–] hitmyspot@aussie.zone 19 points 1 day ago

[–] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Why is US politics so elitist? In the Nordics, our democracy is intended to allow for anyone to run for a political position. Government for the people, by the people?

How can you possibly enshrine the rights of unbridled capitalism and ensure endless extortion if you let the poors and minorities participate? Think about the profits damn it! How will the share holders survive?!?!!! For the people by the people? Don’t make me anxious. For the markets by the rich white land owning men. * sighs in American relief and comfort *

[–] surph_ninja@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

Because US politics was created to serve wealthy slave owners, and not much has changed since.

The people holding the seats are doing everything in their power to keep them. On both sides.

"Look at these young 30 year old babies" says the skeleton clinging to his senate desk for a second millennia

[–] Frozengyro@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I was gonna say, I'm near the top end of these ages. Glad I'm considered young again...

Well the federal government is full of reality and fake news stars with no government experience. How bad could it be at the local level of it "works" on the federal level.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 54 points 1 day ago

But the 17 year olds with billionaire daddies running doge are fine.

[–] DickFiasco@sh.itjust.works 94 points 1 day ago (6 children)

I'm already decided, NYT, you don't have to sell it to me.

[–] crank0271@lemmy.world 43 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The Post is even more conservative than the Times

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 27 points 1 day ago (2 children)

[–] crank0271@lemmy.world 22 points 1 day ago

Political outsiders! Isn’t that what the right wanted? Drain the swamp!

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 38 points 1 day ago

Zero dollars received from AIPAC? These youngsters have no idea how politics work!

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

Best campaign ad I've seen on a while. Dudes got my vote! Look at those young faces. So much hope. Please please please don't get tainted by the money and power. Either our next group of leaders fix this shit hole, or we're 100% dead as a nation.

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago

They are all almost twice the age of Elon's DOGE lackeys.
