Member of hate gang murdered by member of different hate gang, for not hating correctly.

Is this the gang violence Kirk was alluding to?

Achievement unlocked: Good Nazi

I thought the kid killed him over dropping the Epstein files and being fascist? Unfortunate he killed himself next week and we'll never know for sure.

I stole this meme from somewhere else, and I think it actually is kinda misleading. Here's what actually happened in brief:

July 2025:

Kirk said the Epstein Files should be released.

August 2025:

Trump told Kirk to shut up about the Epstein Files. (He did)

September:

A groyper follower killed Kirk.

A possible motive is that Fuentes and the groypers really hated Kirk becuase he was a Trump Lackey who was covering for Trump with the Epstein Files. Possibly they also hated him because he wasn't enough of a Jew-hater.

Edit: Oops meant to put this as a top level, oh well.

I thought it was a typo but apparently not. What’s a groyper?

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 13 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

They're basically if 4chan had founded the KKK.

I've never seen such a perfect description.

That's what the Nick Fuentes cultists call themselves

[–] GreyEyedGhost@lemmy.ca 4 points 13 hours ago

More or less than Göring?

[–] hddsx@lemmy.ca 3 points 19 hours ago (4 children)

And how do Nick Fuentes cultists differ from your garden variety white supremecist?

[–] KAtieTot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 17 hours ago

White supremacy: fascism through racism, willfull ignorance, religion and toxic masculinity as tools to reinforce fascism.

Groyper: Gleefull, full throated fascism. Fully aware of the cog dis. They treat harrasing people into suicide as a hobby, for the lulz. The members are usually terminally online young men, social outcasts, often neglected. Terrorism is a game played for fun.

Thought policing can be realized through something innocuous like "owo, what's this" on a bullet casing. Is that a dog whistle now? What if a maga moron overheard me say that and thought it was a furry-nazi-leftist dog whistle?

More memes, I guess

Heres's a relevant video. I promise it's informative: ttps://youtu.be/P55t6eryY3g?si=Kww-R_BED4l89zlW

The last name didn't give it away?

[–] AndiHutch@lemmy.zip 35 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

The engravings in the bullets could be interpreted that way, but I have read from people more familiar with the groypers and how they operate that they love co-opting seemingly antifa messages and using them ironically as a dogwhistle. They are generally very online gamers who lurk in games like Helldiver's 2 and use it as a nazi bar.

So the messages on the bullets seem innocent and left-coded to normal people but to someone sufficiently steeped in the shit-stew of 'groyper culture', they would essentially act as a sign, that one of their own people did it. It is very similar to an inside joke that kids have or things like skibidi toilet. By putting those particular in-group inside jokes on the bullet, the shooter was signalling to Nick Fuentes's Groypers(essentially a gang) that he put the hit in on Kirk and TPUSA. So it seems to me like from this group context one could deduce that Kirk got killed by gang violence.

Kirk's last words were literally 'gang violence'. Coincidence? I think not.

Edit:grammar mistake

[–] redsand@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

I thought his last words were "what about gay-🤯"

[–] GeeDubHayduke@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 19 hours ago

I thought they were "gurgle gurgle."

[–] nightwatch_admin@feddit.nl 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well said, though I am more convinced a rival to the post-Trump throne has eliminated one of the crown princes.

[–] redsand@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 21 hours ago

I thought it was peter thiel until they got the kid.

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

lol had to re-read that second sentence

[–] vga@sopuli.xyz 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Am I the only one who thinks like the unsuccessful Trump assassination was very similar to this successful one? The motivations for that one ended up being kinda ... muddled too.

[–] AndiHutch@lemmy.zip 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

As far as demographics, they are pretty similar but most shooters have that in common here. Their methods are pretty much identical. Both climbed on a roof and shot. This shooter's accuracy is a lot more neck than nick. Both in trump areas. Most recent one is more competent to since he shot and fled successfully. I would say unclear motivations aren't that surprising for essentially kids who are shooting someone knowing they might die or lose their freedom. Also keep in mind government agencies are going to be selective in what they release since they are trying to prosecute in the future. Press outlets also are going to as well to cater to their audience and get clicks.

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

It certainly helped with the getaway that there weren't any snipers protecting Kirk. And at these distances there's always an element of chance.

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (2 children)

What is your evidence other than the fact you want it to be true? He has some mixed signals so it's not really clear in either direction.

[–] Albbi@lemmy.ca 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I've got bad news for you if you get your news from memes. Some of them might be jokes!

[–] zd9@lemmy.world 3 points 19 hours ago

My whole worldview is only shaped from political memes and /r/NonCredibleDefense. And nothing else.

[–] AndiHutch@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It is not a fact that I want it to be true, that is an opinion. smh do we even speak the same language?

Anyway you can follow the sequence of public events listed in my other comment and do some research on the groups involved and you can verify as needed. More research than that would be helpful if it is well researched and true. But this is a meme, so I didn't want to go overboard.

As is tradition for this format, I make you prove me wrong. /jk

But many, many people across reddit, lemmy, twitter, bluesky, etc. are pushing this narrative. So I'm assuming "you" to be anyone pushing the idea, which is why I asked.

It seems plausible to someone who has no idea about groyper culture, but could also just as likely be bullshit from people that don't want to accept he was an anti-fascist, leftwing guy (despite his familial background, many people turn out the opposite of their family).
