Overview:

The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.

Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.

America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.

America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

American conservatives are objectively worse human beings. Change my mind.

And what they are threatening her with has happened:

According to a family statement, the ICE agents pressured the younger siblings, 12 and 10, with questions and, without verifying her age, they handed the car keys to the older sister, leaving her and the children with two abandoned vehicles on the side of the road.

“Their 10-year-old son watched helplessly as his parents were taken away on his birthday — a day meant for joy, not fear,” the statement reads. “Moises Enciso and Constantina Ramírez do not have a criminal background. They are beloved parents and valuable members of the community.”

The article says the kids were not in the car and the time and left but also that the ice agents pressured them. I saw the video and im highly skeptical that the 10 and 12 year old somehow knew and got there real fast.

It will never be a good thing because we're basically already involved in a world war thanks to Russia, Israel and Iran, but I've increasingly believed that America needs an enema..

The level of uneducated , violent hatred in that country is out of control.

I remember someone my grandpa telling me such stories about when he was a kid.

He was 10 or 11. Born in 1915. In Rome.

Ya sadly racism and xenophobia has existed for a long time. It’s nothing new, honestly thought some places were moving forward from it but it seems we are going backwards again

[–] biofaust@lemmy.world 5 points 8 hours ago

In his case, that was not racism nor xenophobia. In 1925, in Rome there were Black Shirts, the OG Fascists and that's what the bullies used against him at the time, in the same way bullies did with his girl.

Later in his life, he moved to Tucson, and the only people he could genuinely make friends with were the Apache and the Hopi, whom he depicted in his paintings, since his lab in the university, where he researched and teached, was sacked during his absence by agents.

I never believed in the civically advanced US, given the genocidal and violent history and culture.

Seems like they are doing their best to prove me right.

Actual sociopaths. We need to make a wall around them!

I went to confirm if that reply was real. I didn't log in to see replies, but based on their post history, that is absolutely something they would say.

The Republicans are on a fast track way to get every group in America to hate them, except white christain evangelicals.

Too stupid to know anything but hate and division. Today's, and yesterday's America.

You haven't changed a bit.

Wwweeellllllpp. Thats enough internet for me, today.

Fucking sigh

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 17 points 16 hours ago (4 children)

Where are all these grifting leftists who were crying crocodile tears and screaming over some leftists celebrating Charlie Kirk's death?

Fascists kill children and celebrate doing it openly every day. Yet leftist grfters seem to o ly care if the person killed was a rich white fascist man.

[–] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 3 points 11 hours ago

Leftists or liberals?

Do not waste your righteous fury on trolls and bots. That's how they win. Don't even post this stuff honestly. I know it is awful but spreading it is their goal

[–] DrunkAnRoot@sh.itjust.works 8 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

sadly i really doubt that was a troll in any way

Uh, when was America considered "civilized"?

Before or after the owning of humans as property?

[–] paaviloinen@sopuli.xyz 8 points 16 hours ago

Before arguing that Indians did not really cultivate the lands they cultivated in a manner that Europeans just failed to understand as such.

Family first politics. Hand over all the control to these people, only to find out the hard way that these were the people we needed to be protecting our children from the whole time.

As we know, Republicans like Charlie Kirk are big fans of dead children, but inconsolable crybabies over dead nazis.

That man replying has over 101,000 tweets, at an average of ninety six every single day since he made his account 💀

Someone might be just a little chronically online, and his post/reply history seems to show that.

These are definitely bots and trolls. The right had been funding them from the get-go. Many right wing accounts, including politicians, repeat many talking points almost exactly the same from each other.

[–] ElegantBiscuit@lemmy.zip 6 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

Unfortunately I think it’s very possible that it’s not. I had a professor in college that somehow managed to have this many tweets back in 2018 or so. I distinctly remember that it was 96k. She wasn’t a great professor, I’m talking 300 level courses that felt like they could have been taught in high school. Probably on account of spending her entire life on twitter.

[–] AmbitiousProcess@piefed.social 1 points 7 hours ago

I'm also not sure if that number now counts reposts/retweets, though it would still be ridiculous to be retweeting that many posts that consistently. Clicking one button is always going to be quicker than writing even a one-word tweet and posting it, so it would check out.

[–] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

Not that I don't believe you, but I wonder how on earth could these people even type and post that many. I get tired typing a lot on mobile phone or get eye strain after looking at the screen for too long.
