Muskrat is worried about his Australian ad revenue. He's not capable of feeling emotions for other people.

And why would a government listen to some random drug addict?

[–] harmbugler@piefed.social 21 points 1 day ago

Sadly, because he bought a megaphone. But Albo has shown a semblance of backbone when it comes to America, so there’s hope.

same reason rich folk buy and run media and press companies

Musk trying to frame himself as a human-rights activist is so cringe. Equating access to Xitter as a human right for minors while also trying to make out that his hate machine platform is somehow well moderated is pure insanity to anyone with a brain.

I fixed YouTube.... Removed the app from the TV and phone. Now we do other things.

[–] lemmy_outta_here@lemmy.world 3 points 23 hours ago

That's how I fixed it too! We can still watch videos on a desktop if there is something specific we want to see, but I never let the algorithm do its work. Youtube recommends this video? Nah.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago

Your platform is shit and is the main reason these draconian laws are being proposed.

Even a broken clock is right at least once a day.

But right for the wrong reasons

Who is still using fuckin' Twitter? Don't go to the nazi bar.

[–] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 1 day ago

A lot of people

[–] Goodlucksil@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago

Unless the speaker is a nazi

[–] moubliezpas@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

To be fair he does have a lot of experience in the toxicity of social media. He's an expert in the field.

It's like if e-coli had some serious concerns about your choice of antibacterial spray. Worth noting the objection, possibly with a little smile, and buying a few more bottles.

[–] sausager@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So this means it's the right thing to do, got it.

[–] WhyJiffie@sh.itjust.works 1 points 20 hours ago

I wouldn't go that far. it means it hurts them too. climate change is not good either just because it will also hurt bad people.

Shut your mouth, small man.

[–] Marshezezz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 1 day ago

Am I about to see a forum of “progressives” and communist-wannabes argue for authoritarian, fascist laws and censorship because of their hatred for elon musk? I think I am haha

Nope.

Fuck that guy.

Fuck this bullshit legislation that was rammed though.
