They walk to school, check all their bags for firearms (take any away that are brought in) ... then after the security check, they are given their own holstered small sidearm that they have to keep visually on them at all times during school hours. It has to stay visible to everyone at all times.

Really, this is the US government terrorizing children and a corporation using them as test subjects disguised as a security measure.
They have pepper spray, ramming capabilities, and speakers. Supposedly the idea is to distract the shooter to buy time and give away their position.
They shoot them in the head. Same as they've been doing with the sniper drones in Gaza.

A drone that size carrying only a go-pro has a battery life of only a few minutes. With all the shit this company glued to it I'm sure the shooter just has to close a door and count to 100 and the thing will fall out of the air.
So do they just circle over the school until the shooter has killed everyone and leaves the building?
They have to make sure it is safe for the police to go in.
I can't wait for one of these drones to go rouge...
