Seriously. What a relatively small price to pay for the stupid amount of political capital it's gotten them.
I think there may be a little bit more to the relationship between the USA and its protectorates than bribery, if you've got the time to listen.
Hell, if anything it saves them on not having to maintain a 747
Especially with the 747 being officially out of manufacturing in 2023. Parts prices and specialized technician costs are just going to go up more and more every year.
Why in the world are you guys assuming that's the only bribe they've gotten?

Trust me, as someone who lived in both Dakotas, Idaho is definitely the upgrade.
Try letting a tree fall on you. Make sure you sue the ever living shit out of whoever owns that tree.
Oh, and then make sure that once you have the power to do so, you pass a law that prevents anyone else from suing the way you did.

Make absolutely no fucking sense.
Even when you include the bribery it still doesn't seem to make sense.
Have a foreign military on U.S. soil to do things to the U.S. population that the U.S. military might not.
Looks like it's just to train Qatari pilots without putting the hardware too close to Yemeni drones or Saudi missiles.
Although, I wouldn't be surprised if we end up training the next crop of 9/11 hijackers by the end.
