Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Sure, do it

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 13 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Then she discovered how irrelevant she was and started screaming "Look at me!!!" even louder.

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 5 points 6 hours ago

Basically that. Just another female MAGA head that gives credibility to "dumb blonde" jokes.

[–] klemptor@startrek.website 17 points 15 hours ago

Please do go ahead and split the republican vote you fucking trash GOP sycophant.

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 23 points 21 hours ago

Republican women so clearly forgetting their party is misogynist

[–] MangioneDontMiss@feddit.nl 27 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

she would get fucking destroyed in fair election against AOC.

[–] thr0w4w4y2@sh.itjust.works 8 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

would she though? I can hear everyone from centre left to the far right now saying “I couldn’t vote for AOC she’s just too extreme, we don’t need those far left socialist ideas in our government.”

[–] TheMinister@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 hours ago

I have a friend—a big Bernie guy who talks about how he wouldve been great. He said to me the other day, “AOC can go fuck herself.” I asked why. He said, “she just doesn’t know what people want. She went too far left.”

Jesus Christ. He’s usually a pretty sound thinker. I have no idea what that is. Maybe just plain old misogyny.

[–] maskquerade@ttrpg.network 2 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Translation: "I don't want the upper middle class and above to pay more in taxes."

[–] thr0w4w4y2@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

I think that might be oversimplifying things. The media have been very effective at promulgating the myth that the left stands for unlimited immigration, soft approach to crime and foreign policy, and generous handouts to lower socioeconomic groups paid for by the state and taxpayers. Fear of the negative consequences of these policies often drives people to vote further right.

[–] maskquerade@ttrpg.network 1 points 6 hours ago

Well, none of that is unique to AOC so I don't see why she would be singled out in being "extreme."

It's her socialist policies that cause scumbags and useful idiots to think twice about supporting her.

[–] athairmor@lemmy.world 54 points 1 day ago (2 children)

They think AOC’s appeal is that she’s an attractive woman. So, of course, their chauvinistic response to put what they consider an attractive woman out against her.

I can’t tell if it’s just chauvinistic or also a calculated way to keep the conversation about AOC on her looks and away from her policies.

[–] Wigners_friend@piefed.social 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Even if it were true, Meg looks like a dehydrated horse these days.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 23 hours ago

That's not fair to dehydrated horses.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

She could look like an infected foot and I’d still vote for the only progressive democrat.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago

This bitch told Maher that trans was her #1 issue. How is that going to help anyone in America?

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 66 points 1 day ago (8 children)

All the fascist Republicans crawling out from every creek there is. And dammit there's a lot of them.
But it is no wonder, because you've had to be a psychopath for decades to be a Republican, and from psychopath to fascist is not very far.

Joker also pays he's taxes. Unlike real villians.

Hahahahahahhhhaaaahahahahaha

[–] DrFistington@lemmy.world 46 points 1 day ago

And that's literally her platform. To be a hater.

[–] makyo@lemmy.world 29 points 1 day ago (3 children)

She is a cancerous attention whore, perfect for today’s GOP

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (2 children)

In retrospect, Sarah Palin wasn’t a terrible person but definitely a harbinger of things to come.

[–] Akasazh@feddit.nl 1 points 3 hours ago

The fact that Bush and Palin are outshone in the crazy department, doesn't make them more sane

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 7 points 20 hours ago

Nah. Sarah Palin was a terrible person too.

[–] AllNewTypeFace@leminal.space 3 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

Is she sadistic enough to hold her own against the big beasts of the party, though? She may be a toxic narcissist, but this is the big league and the performative puppy-killers and AR15 family photo people couldn’t eat her for lunch if she doesn’t bring her game.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 23 hours ago

couldn't eat her for lunch

Is that a dare?

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Member when NBC News was like "Let's hire her for millions - she's a serious journalist" and then when everything she did went to shit they were like "hmm. Ok lets' move her to Saturday afternoons . . "

Goddamned republiQan owned fuckwit corporate traitor idiots.

[–] circuitfarmer@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

Who did the work on her jaw? That's fucking backalley chopshop level work there.

[–] Master167@lemmy.world 32 points 1 day ago (2 children)

One of these days, candidates are going to start running for office “for” something. I’m tired of voting against something.

Bet. Do it. I’d love to see this.

Presidential Nominee Kelly + Presidential Nominee Ocasio-Cortez = President Ocasio-Cortez.

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I hope you're right, but we thought similar things about Trump since he came down that hideous golden staircase in 2015, and look where we are now

[–] hddsx@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Trump is a man. He doesn’t have sexism working against him.

Orange is the new white

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Sexism hasn't prevented fascists from supporting female fascist leaders since like WWII.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 23 hours ago

You know that r34 isn't a real place, right?

One of these things is not like the other

Oh you sweet summer child, Megyn Kelly. You actually believe Trumpie is just going to stop being President.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

I hear she had blood coming out her . . wherever

Her hubris astonishes me.

Does she not believe that her Dear Leader will rule over America forever?

And she thinks a woman could do a better job?

Are we sure she’s still a republican?
