Yes. This is my new Reddit replacement

[–] BrokenToshy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

I just use both. Lemmy for general browsing and Reddit when I want a more specific community that isn't around yet.

I was never a 3rd party app user really as I just use old.reddit through the browser on my phone so until old.reddit is killed off I'll probably continue to use both. Once thats gone though I won't be using Reddit, new UI is truly awful

Well, this is nice, hello

[–] Fleppensteijn@feddit.nl 2 points 2 years ago

Yes. I used both for a while but Reddit got quiet and no point in using Reddit without the apps.

Haven’t quit Reddit yet, but I am only posting or commenting to Lemmy and I exhaust the feed here before browsing Reddit.

I’m not highly involved in any communities there, else I’d attempt a mass migration.

I'm sussing out Lemmy as a replacement. I still go to Reddit but I've pretty much stopped all interactions other than just reading . Reddit has now become a place to fill the blank time in my day between the times I'm busy. Hopefully Lemmy will become a replacement soon than later.

Who is Lenny?

[–] Bz2486@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

100%....Havent even looked back since last Friday around 7 when RIF stopped working...spent a couple hours finding Lemmy and eventually Liftoff, I have a new home now

[–] chakan2@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Trying. But the experience isn't all there yet.

[–] Kempeth@feddit.de 2 points 2 years ago

To about 90% I have. Some communities still simply don't exist or are essentially dead, so for the times where I need something really specific or just a general content fix I still wander over. But it's been a fraction of the time I spent there previously.

[–] Chadsmo@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Yup , haven’t been back to Reddit since Apollo went dark.

[–] altima_neo@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 years ago

Please dont tell anyone how I live

[–] MigratingtoLemmy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Other than some specific subs, yes

[–] kazerniel@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

For actual conversations, yeah. I still check one subreddit daily for game leak updates, but that's pretty much it.

[–] checkforupdates@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Yes. I stopped using Reddit during the blackouts and haven’t turned back. Lemmy so far has been a good replacement in all ways. Fuck spez!

[–] Carter@feddit.uk 2 points 2 years ago

Infinity is still working at the moment but today I removed it from my home screen and replaced with a Lemmy app. There isn't a community replacement for every subreddit I follow just yet but hopefully Lemmy and other Fediverse services will continue to grow.

[–] Niggling_Niggard@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Slowly but surely. I can no longer check porn subs on Joey for Reddit so I might try to accelerate the migration.

[–] ERRR00000000000@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

Not totally. Reddit is a shithole but it's my shithole

[–] Popinguj@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

I registered to try it out. Looks nice so far. Hopefully more users switch and start filling this place with content.
