And Scotty beamed them to the Klingon ship, where they would be no Tribble at all.

In my home Star Trek is the religion. It's been a long road getting from there to here. Because I've got faith in the Spock.

Blasphemer, the prophets sent the Sisko to guide us as our emissary

Look, all I said was, "That bowl of jambalaya was good enough for Joseph Sisko."

It might as well be in my home too. My wife and I aren't religious, so we may have snuck a few subtle trek things into our wedding ceremony.

Would you describe your faith as heart-related?

It's the only way I can make sure that they're not gonna hold me down no more.

I hate you...

Bah. Our ornament celebrates the true spirit of Christmas:

When you push the button, the fight music plays. For like a full minute. It's amazing.

That's amazing! I haven't seen this one.

I used this in the header for today's Trek-mas!

Whaaaat, how did I miss it?!

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I got it in a Hallmark store probably 25 years ago.

And the Savior said unto James - "I have been, and always shall be, your friend"

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Spock died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again in the third movie according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Jim, then of the rest of the bridge crew.

-- 1 Roddenberry 15:3-5

And a much much better religion than scientology.

On the Third ~~day~~ movie he rose again!

That in fact happened long ago:

Join Ashtar Command Crew, a spiritual community for awakening to the new reality of Ashtar Command, a galactic federation of light and love

Sadly they seem to have turned from a weird UFO cult into a right wing QAnon cult at this point, so no links from me ...

The Historical Documents!

It looks like this is the Hallmark ornament from 2015, so the only option might be ebay.

[-] Cort@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Some tempting options, right? I'm trying to stay strong and tell myself I don't need any more plastic. 😣

[-] TheGrandNagus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Hold on a second, that's not Gandalf

[-] Ithorian@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago
