This is a Dengist community in favor of Bashar al-Assad with no information that can lead to the arrest of Hillary Clinton, our fellow liberal and queen. This community is not ironic. We are Marxists-Leninists.

This community is for posts about Marxism and geopolitics (including shitposts to some extent). Serious posts can be posted here or in /c/GenZhou. Reactionary or ultra-leftist cringe posts belong in /c/shitreactionariessay or /c/shitultrassay respectively.

Why doesn't Bavaria go to Austria? And why does Swabia have to stay with Germany and Bavaria? Do you even balkanize?

British Isles is an old colonial term that was invented to intentionally imply ownership of the islands by Britain.

It should be confided to the dustbin of history, not used in the modern day. Thankfully both the Irish and UK government do not use the term.

The Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs stated in 2005: "The British Isles is not an officially recognised term in any legal or inter-governmental sense. It is without any official status. The Government, including the Department of Foreign Affairs, does not use this term."

Instead we should use the Islands of North-Western France.

Otherwise the map is good, besides maybe this matter. Map for reference.

It should be just called "Atlantis"

Italy is the most balkanized of these pictures. That's anti-Italian discrimination!

Italy is a fake country, and I say that as an Italian. Any hopes of cultural unification were squandered by the refusal of the Northern elites to implement Land Reform in the South after unification.

Tbh every country is fake. I should know, I'm in one of the worst offender.

I would go even further. The southern half of so-called "actual Spanish territory" is actually Andalusian territory. As for "actual Germany", there is no such thing, or if there is it's just Franconia, as Swabia and the Rhineland have their own distinct cultures. And "actual France" should not include Burgundy or Gascony. And East Germany should be its own thing again, this time permanently...because reunited Germany has been a disaster.

Spain should the southern half to Andalucía and we could split the north into separate Leon and Castille

Crazy that we decided that France is going to keep Elsass.

Inspired me to do my own take on the British Isles, tbh

Is Birmingham important enough to warrant its own international city status?

[–] SadArtemis@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Not really, but I figured the 3 most populous (and probably, considerably diverse) cities may as well get international city status. Also, the fact it makes England's borders ugly is a plus.

[–] SadArtemis@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Finished it off-

[–] pinguinu@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 year ago

Damn, imperialist Catalonia taking Valencian Community and Balearic Islands but not Aragon

I can understand Brittany and Occitania but Normandy is culturally indistinguishable with most North French regions.

[–] lil_tank@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Yeah, my take on the French version is that actually the Paris region, surrounding departments and Normandy will be actual French territory while the great North (especially Picardie) and East (Alsace - Lorraine) will separate since they still have a bit of their own culture and language

Is there a reason why Ibiza and Mallorca would be part of Catalonia

[–] ledlecreeper27@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Catalan is already an official language in those islands and most of the residents speak it fluently.

Thank you for not putting Franken into Baveria.
