Imagine Linus a few weeks ago saying "I'm not paying $500 bucks in staffers to retest this shitty product", to now having to defend some serious abuse allegations.

Wild.

Time for Linus to [sic] "put on his big boy pants" and lawyer up.

Nah, Lawyers will tell him to do whats best. He needs to do whats right.

No lawyers. They contracted an external investigation. Their new CEO was smart here, I don’t think that LMG would have done that if Linus was CEO.

Holy fuck.

People like that should not be allowed to own or run companies

I have very bad news for you: Bosses are usually the least qualified on staff.

Ironically, especially if they're a good boss because they'll hire good employees. The bad ones fail to realize they should be out-classed by good employees and that they should pay accordingly. Though appropriate pay is a pipe dream even from most good bosses.

Seems like Linus recognized this and that's why he hired a new CEO, and so far he has proven to be very professional. Linus has been running LTT like "Me and the boys doing gaming stuff" and failed to achieve the professionalism requires by such a big company.

I don't think anyone can deny that Linus was absolutely key to founding and growing LMG, but he should've learned some hard lessons a long time ago and taken steps to address them, or taken a step back to let someone more in touch with PR handle things.

Unfortunately it’s all too common.

I've checked the channel and the average views of his recent videos. Now I count about 4 videos about LTT with higher view count. This guy I've never heard of before today, is milking the situation on the expense of LMG and Madison.

I don't understand how @7heo@lemmy.ml can tolerate this video, but not a screwdriver review.
