  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Once South Carolina is over, it's over for her.

Not quite. Her goal isn't to win the most delegates (although she'll take that if she can manage it). Her goal is to be the only other choice with any delegates at all in case Trump is declared ineligible/guilty of felonies/deceased before the convention. If Trump is unable to accept the nomination, the convention will still have to nominate someone, abd she would be the logical choice.

I predict she will remain active in the race for as long as she has campaign cash. And even when that runs out, she will not endorse Trump nor direct her delegates to do so.

She's only surviving because of donations from the Never Trumpers. They could spend ten grand a vote and never see their goals fulfilled. They know this, but their accounts are running thin.

We'll see. She's clearly not in it to win a majority of the delegates so it just comes down to what her donors' goals actually are and how long they're willing to fund her campaign. If she makes it to South Carolina it's only 10 more days until Super Tuesday; meaning there are, I think, 22 contests in just those 10 days.

Sometimes contributions are not about the current election, though.

A few months ago everyone thought DeSantis would be the main challenge for Trump, but his money dried up first and he had to back out extremely early. So in a hypothetical 2028 election where Trump is not on the ballot for any reason, Haley has made herself into the frontrunner. That is all because of the fundraising advantage she has now vs. DeSantis.

I don't think there is anything a donor can prove at a certain point which is fast approaching. When they say nope, she has to fold.

I’m hoping enough democrats in SC vote for her in the GOP primary. I’m in SC and it’s exactly what I plan on doing later this month
