Is there interest in a community for permacomputing projects and discussion? I feel like it fits perfectly with the principles of solarpunk.

PS. if yes, can someone create it? it looks like I don't have the option since my account is in another instance

!permacomputing@slrpnk.net I guess permacomputing is a good word for what has been going on in my mind lately, so I went and created it. To fruitful information sharing!

Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn't work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: !permacomputing@slrpnk.net

Permacomputing = solarpunk technology

Making more and more communities while the instance is as a whole already solarpunk filtered isn’t ideal :P

I have been talking to the people running the permacomputing.net website about having an official community here some weeks ago.

I agree that there is some overlap, but that doesn't necessarily have to be bad.

However if it ends up totally unused I will likely prune it in the next round of community gardening.
