I always hated Monkey and PG Tips, the tea brand he advertised. He turned his back on co-star Johnny Vegas and Johnny was never the same after that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ck45ni5C

Monkey was a very good fit for PG Tips. They had (real) chimpanzees in their adverts from the 1950s to the early 2000s.
