Du hast kein Problem mit Motorradfahrern, sondern mit rücksichtslosen Arschlöchern.

Just want to jump on the train of calling you a bootlicker for defending piece of shit corpos and ignoring human nature :)

You seem to have missed my point.

This platform is full of people with differing opinions. Saying things like "Oh wow, just yesterday lemmy said this and now it's this!" is just stupid and doesn't make any sense.

While generally I'd agree with you, these apps are engineered to exploit human weaknesses to make a few people money and have real and measurable effects on the human psyche. From reduced attention spans due to short form or dense content, to problems with self-worth, these apps are literally bad for you if you engage with them a lot - which, again, they are engineered to get you to do. They are completely manipulative and not "just another fun thing".

You can also have fun by reading a book. Or making something. Or going out.

If everyone keeps expecting everything for free there will never be competition :)

This is really great! Thank you for this!

It's neither ideologically messy nor is it morally ambiguous - quite the opposite. It's one of the most black and white conflicts of recent times. Russia invaded Ukraine in an ethnic war and marketed it as some kind of liberation. Russia is in the wrong and must fuck off.

Ich hätte nicht erwartet dass es widerlicher als das Bild werden kann. Chapeau!

You can do the exact same thing in Windows, just think of the SysInternals Suite and its power. It's just that people on Linux expect problems, while the overwhelming majority of people on Windows/MacOS is using their device expecting it to work and if it doesn't they go do something else or buy another device.

Also this completely untrue notion that you cannot fix Windows or play around with its internals is very prevalent, to the point that it's a meme, so people don't even try.

I went through something similar as you last year. I'm still not completely over her, still think about her daily, but it's a distant past now.

Whatever happens, you are still you. Whatever pain you feel, it won't change you unless you let it to. Use it to learn something about yourself, get stronger, learn to enjoy it. But never forget that you're in charge, and that those feelings will pass.

Had to do it for uni.

Building and compiling is really easy. Kernel programming in Linux, on the other hand, is a nightmare with how bad the documentstion is.

That's hilarious. Was this the plan all along or was this more of a reactionary thing? I think it's a mix of both.
