Just because Egypt is in Africa doesn't automatically make Egyptians black. Look at a map. Northern Africa and Egypt were just as much part of southern Europe and the Middle East.

Neither is Pennsylvania, this map is way off.

"Term of service"? Shmerms of shmervice. Fuck all the way off, there's a hundred other games that we can be playing.

More of their bullshitery. I had the audacity to use my browser to click a reddit link.

I'm using Firefox mobile and pulling up any webpage is very slow. One of the big things is searching using the address bar, has a load time of at least 10 seconds (using ddg as default). Switching default search engines does not help.

One thing of note is that in a private tab, everything works normally. I tested multiple times using the same method as above.

Hopefully this can be remedied with a simple settings tweak.

Block whole communities. That's what I started doing. There's one instance that I would like to block but that feature isn't available yet as far as I'm aware. Reddit was the same way around 10 years ago, it's been pruned and censored to the point where it's more appealing to the average worldwide user. I don't want that to happen to Lemmy; not to sound dismissive, but utilize your block list instead of calling for more/better mods.

How do I engage? (lemmy.world)

I never used Twitter. Reddit was the only social media I engaged/posted on for years, moved to Lemmy a couple months ago. I made an account on Mastodon, downloaded moshidon, followed a bunch of hashtags, now I don't know what to do. Do I just start posting "Facebook status" type posts? Is Mastodon basically like individual Lemmy comment threads with hashtags being the main post?

Now I know how my parents feel when I try to explain anything outside of Facebook to them.

Came here to say the same thing. I better steer clear of Florida.

Note: It's not ChatGPT but a similar algorithm.

I don't prefer to be called "a little bitch". My preferred term is dude.

It's about 1/76th the height of a Big Mac from McDonald's.

Was trying to checkmate in the middle of the board but had my queen too close.

Use Sync! I used it for years for reddit. They had to shut down with the other third party apps, but they just came back with Lemmy.

I liked the fake internet points, but it definitely leads to karma whoring. So I'll do without.
