There's one in my town that is black. With black writing on it that says police. The only way to see the text is to see the difference in sheen between the paint and the writing.

Quite pleasing. I've found myself looking for the nastiest cast iron I can find. It's quite lovely to see them nice and clean.

Makes sense it would be 1950s. My grandparents married and located to their house in the mid 40s.

Yeah it came out really great. I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it is.

It works well (unsurprisingly) I just cooked Walmart hash browns in it for my kiddo.

Plexamp is pretty great. It's my streaming music player of choice.

After gpm shit the bed.. I vowed to never have another streaming music service.

The community I grew up in was this way.. the "CCC boys" as they were known locally built everything from houses to schools to churches to bridges.
